  1. To Apply for the ALADI (Latin American Integration Association) Certificate of Origin, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Economy link
  2. Before proceeding, it's essential to seek legal advice and conduct thorough research to understand the legal and regulatory requirements for foreign legal entities in Mexico.

  7. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  8. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  9. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
  10. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  11. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  12. If the application is approved, the competent authority will issue the ALADI Certificate of Origin for the eligible goods.
  13. Once you have obtained the Certificate of Origin, it should be included with the shipment of the goods.
  14. The importing customs authorities in the ALADI member country will use the certificate to determine the preferential treatment for the imported goods.
  15. This entire process can be completed within 2 – 3 weeks or per the timeline the respective department authority advised.

The following are the eligibility requirements to apply for an ALADI (Latin American Integration Association) Certificate of Origin in Mexico:
