Mauritius - Pay Electricity Bill

Customer’s subscribers with the Central Electricity Board (CEB) upon receiving monthly electricity bill for service rendered by the company are required to pay for their electricity bill in time through the following methods of payment.
Apply In-Person
Cash Payment at the CEB
- Visit any Central Electricity Board (CEB) Mauritius branch office nearby with the electricity bill invoice and the amount to be paid indicated on the invoice
- Approach the payment services counter and submit the invoice bill and the recommended amount in cash to the attending official.
- Who will verify the amount to be paid through their computer system and if the amount is in order, he/she will clear your bill and issue you a receipt confirming the payment immediately.
Payment through Other cash office
- Alternatively Customers may also pay their electricity bills, by cash/cheque, at the counters of the Central Water Authority (CWA) to the following office branch St Paul and Port Louis.
- Or by Mauritius Post Ltd branches offices located countrywide from 8.30 am to 3.15 pm Weekdays, 8.30 am to 11.00 am Saturday.
Payment by cheque
- You can pay your bill to the CEB by check. To do this, simply complete the check and indicate on the back of the check your telephone contact and address.
- You must then put the check and photocopies of the relevant invoices in the check box located at your CEB branch office.
- You must return to the branch within 48 hours to collect your payment receipt.
- If you prefer mailing your cheque, please ensure that your bill is enclosed along with your cheque and addressed to The Customer Service Officer (Collections) Central Electricity Board Royal Road Cure pipe.
- Please note that an administrative fee is applicable for the processing of any cheque returned by the bank.
Payment through Direct Debit System
- Customers can make payment with the following local commercial banks (list below) by the Direct Debit System.

CEB Customer Portal
- Visit the Central Electricity Board (CEB) website portal Link and click on “Customer Portal” tab located on the upper right side of your screen.
- Login with your credentials (email address/password), if you already have an account, if you do not have an account click on “click here to register” option.
- The registration form will be displayed, fill it accurately, captcha the security details and click on “submit” tab.
- An activation email will be sent to the email address you had register with, click on the “Activate Account “option.
- You will then be redirected to the CEB portal then click on “Click here to continue “tab.
- A One Time Password (OTP) will then be sent to the mobile number you had registered with, enter the OTP and then click on “Confirm OTP” tab.
- You then be redirected to the next page, sign in with your credentials (email address/password).
- Select Contract Account option from the menu bar, a list of contract account details will be displayed, then click on the “contract account number” to view your unpaid bills.
- You can view the list of bills you have not paid in “open items” tab, then choose the bills you want to pay then click on “Pay” tab.
- Accept terms and conditions, entry your credit card details then click on “Pay now” tab.
- You will then receive a payment confirmation mail in your email address.
CEB Quick Payment
- Visit the Central Electricity Board (CEB) website portal Link and click on “Customer Portal” tab located on the upper right side of your screen.
- You will then be redirected to the next page, click on the “quick payment” tab, then enter your CEB Account Number and then proceed to make the payment.
Payment by Electronic method
The CEB has partnered with other private payment service entities that offer online payment method and easy access, In order to improve the quality of service to customers and the efficiency of bill payment 24/7 regardless of geographic location. Such entities include SBM BILL PAY, SBI (Mauritius) ltd, MCB Juice, ORANGE MONEY, MCB, and EMTEL MOBILE CASH.
