  1. Go to the official website of the Central Water Authority (CWA) in Mauritius link.
  2. Click on the “Contact Us” tab located at the top of the page.

  4. To lodge an online complaint with the Consumer Welfare Association (CWA) in Mauritius, the applicant must first fill out an online complaint form. The form can be found on the CWA’s website at - link
  5. Fill in the required information such as the applicant's name, address, contact number, email address, and a description of the applicant complaint.
  6. Provide relevant documents and other documents as may be required and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
  7. Once the form has been completed, applicant will need to submit it electronically by clicking on the “Submit” button at the end of the form.
  8. The applicant will then be directed to a confirmation page, where the applicant will receive a reference number and a link to track the progress of the applicant's complaint.
  9. If the applicant would like to follow up on the applicant’s complaint after submitting it online, the applicant can call the CWA at +230 623-7888 or email them at [email protected].
  10. There is no fee for filing an online complaint to the Consumer Welfare Association (CWA) in Mauritius. All complaints are free of charge.
  11. Generally, the CWA will respond to a complaint within 21 days (about 3 weeks) from the date of receipt of the complaint. If the complaint is more complex, the CWA may take longer to respond.

To file an online complaint to the Consumer Welfare Association (CWA) in Mauritius, the following documents are required:

  • A completed complaint form, which can be downloaded from the CWA website.
  • Valid Identification such as an identification card, passport number or driving license.
  • Proof of the complaint, such as invoices, receipts, photographs, emails or any other documents related to the complaint.

EligibilityEdit

  • Any consumer who has purchased a product or service in Mauritius and believes that the product or service was not of good quality or has not been delivered as promised is eligible to file an online complaint to the Consumer Welfare Association of Mauritius.
  • In addition, any consumer who feels that they have been treated unfairly or discriminated against by a business is also eligible to file a complaint.
