Apply In Person

  1. To apply to Hire Pointe Canon Theatre, the applicant should make the application to the Ministry of Arts and Cultural Heritage. Please view the ministy’s contact details through this link Contact details.
  2. Visit the ministry’s office and obtain the application form fromr the reception or download the form directly through this Application form link.
  3. Read and complete the application form accordingly, and the parepare all the required supporting documets and attact then to the filled in form.
  4. The go to the ministry’s office and submit the application for verification. Note that as the applicant you should submit your application three weeks prior to the show.
  5. Then your application will be verified and forwarded to the responsible authority for processing.
  6. The ministry will assess your application and if it meets the required merits, it will be approved.
  7. You will be notified of the approval in writing and required to pay the rates fee to hire Pointe Canon Theatre.
  8. Upon receiving the approval letter, visit the ministry’s office and pay the requisite fee at the finance section and obtain the payment receipt.
  9. Once, you pay the fee the document for the hire will be prepared and issued to you.

  • Clearance Certificates (where applicable) from the Police Department, Rights Management Society and the Board of Film Classification and Stage Play Censors.
  • Evidence of insurance covers taken.
  • Valid identification document.
  • Any other applicable permits.

  • Citizens or Foreigners that wish to hire the Pointe Canon Theatre.



FeesEdit

The rates for applicaton are:
Monday-Friday

  • 09 00hrs – 16 00hrs (Technical Setup / rehearsal) Rs 400/hr.
  • 09 00hrs – 16 00hrs (Show) Rs 1000/hr.
  • 16 00hrs – 23 00hrs Rs 2000/hr.
  • Saturday (Before 23 00 hrs.) Rs 3000/hr.
  • Sunday/Public Holiday Rs 5000/hr.
  • Beyond 23 00 hrs. (Any day) Rs 4000/hr.
  • Social Functions such as Wedding Ceremonies Rs 70,000


And Receptions - 10 00 hrs to 18 00 hrs (On any day and for any duration during the time indicated) N.B. The amount may be forfeited in case the event is not held. However, if the event is postponed for not more than 30 days, the amount may stand good.

  • Any balance/ refund will be claimed/settled after the show.

  • Access to guests (by tickets sale/invitation).
  • Cost per ticket (if applicable).
  • Number of guests expected.
  • Declaration by the applicant.
