Apply In-Person:
- To Apply for the Purchase of Plants in person, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Agro Industry & Food Security Contact link
- Information related to the respective authority can be obtained from the “Office locations and contacts” section of this page.
- Applicant can be downloaded the application form for purchase of plants from this link or applicant must be written the application form for purchase of plants.
- The applicant will need to fill out the necessary information.
- Applicants should attach necessary documents along with a copy of identification card, proof of residential address and they can be found under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Submit the completed application form to the Ministry of Agro-Industry and Food Security Mauritius.
- The ministry will review the application and contact the applicant if they require any additional information or documents.
- Once the application is approved, he/she will be sent an invoice for the payment of the plants.
- A fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
- Once the payment is received, the Ministry will deliver the plants to the specified address.
- Generally, the processing time for such an application will range from two to six weeks.
Apply Online
- Applicant must Go to the Mauritius e-service website link and log in using him/her username and password.
- Then Click on the ‘Plant Purchasing’ tab link.
- Applicant should Read through the information regarding the purchase of plants in Mauritius.
- Then the applicant must select the plants the applicant wishes to purchase from the displayed list of plants.
- Applicant must fill in the form provided with the applicant’s personal details, such as name, address, contact information, etc.
- Provide details of the plants the applicant wishes to purchase.
- The Applicant must upload any additional documents required for the purchase and they can be found under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Review the plants the applicant chose and make any necessary changes.
- Applicant must select the payment method the applicant wishes to use (credit/debit card, PayPal, etc.).
- Applicant must enter his/her billing and shipping information.
- Applicant must enter the applicant payment details (card number, expiration date, security code, etc.).
- Review the details of the applicant order, including the total cost.
- Then the applicant Click the “Confirm” button to finalize the applicant order.
- Print out the applicant order confirmation for him/her records.
- The applicant will receive an email confirming your order.
- Once the order is processed, he/she will receive an email with the tracking number.
- The applicant can track their order using the tracking number.
- Once the applicant plants have arrived, check them to ensure they are as expected.
- Generally, the processing time may take anywhere from 1 to 5 business days.

Anyone who is a permanent resident of Mauritius can apply for the Purchase of Plants in Mauritius e-service. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and must provide valid proof of identity and residence.
