Procedure

Apply In Person

1. To apply for a Venison Retailer License, you should make your application to the National Agricultural Products ​Regulatory Office (NAPRO) Under the Ministry of Agro-Industry and Food Security. You can view NAPRO’s contact details through this link NAPRO Contacts.
2. Visit the Ministry of Agro-Industry and Food Security office and obtain the application form for Game Venison Dealer, or download the application form from the ministry’s website through this Link ​​NAPRO Downloads Find “​Application - Venison Retailer”.
3. Read and complete the application form accordingly and obtain the required supporting documents as instructed and attach the supporting documents to the completed application form.
4. Go to the ministry office and pay the application fee to the cashier and obtain the payment receipt.
5. Upon the payment, submit your complete application including the payment receipt to the NAPRO department for verification.
6. The NAPRO official will assess your application to check if the form is completed as require and if you provided the necessary documents and all the payments have been made.
7. After the verification, the NAPRO official will issue you the acknowledgment receipt of your application.
8. Your application will be forward to the relevant NAPRO official for processing and NAPRO will schedule an inspection date to visit your retail shop for due diligence.
9. On the inspection date, the NAPRO inspector will inspect your premises to determine if the shop and its equipment meet the required standards.
10. The inspector will then forward their inspection report to NAPRO for further assessment.
11. NAPRO will review the inspection report and your application and if it is determined that your application and the retail shop meet all the required standards, the application will be approved.
12. You will then be notified by NAPRO of the approval and you will be required to pay the license fee.
13. Pay the prescribed fee and the license will be processed and issued to you.

• The license application fee is Rs.200
• The license fee is Rs.500

Validity

• The license will be valid for one hunting season, one close season, or one year only.
