Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for the Personal Management License, you should make your application to the Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA), Please view the GRA contact details through this GRA contacts
  2. Obtain the application form from the GRA office or download it through the GRA website via this GRA forms (find “Personal Management Licence Application Form”).
  3. Read and complete the application form correctly and then prepare all the required supporting documents as instructed in part 8 of the application form.
  4. Then visit the office and pay the licensing application fee at the cashier and obtain the payment receipt. You can also draw a cheque payable to the GRA.
  5. Upon the payment, submit your application along with the required supporting documents to the GRA official at the service desk.
  6. Your application will be checked to confirm if it is completed correctly and if you have provided all the required documents.
  7. After the verification, the application will be forwarded to the GRA board for further assessment.
  8. The board will evaluate your application and determine if you meet the standard regulation for the license.
  9. If the board is satisfied that you meet the required merits, the application will be approved and the license will be processed.
  10. The GRA will then inform you of the approval through your contact details and you will be issued with Personal Management License.

Required DocumentsEdit

Provide an original and a copy of the following documents;

  • National ID card or Valid Passport with a clear photographic image.
  • Birth Certificate.
  • Proof of Address dating not later than 3 months.
  • Certificate of character issued not earlier than 3 months from the date of the application.
  • Documents to support Applicant experience 8.6 Occupational Permit or Work Permit (for non-resident).
  • Bank Reference from a recognized banking institution stating whether the account has been maintained satisfactorily (Bank reference must not be dated more than 6 months old).
  • One passport-sized photograph.

EligibilityEdit

Individuals who wish to apply for the Personal Management License for the GRA and meet the following criteria:

  • You should not be subject to an investigation into an offense specified in part 1 of the Personal Management Licence Legal Supplement 2018 and 2019​​.
  • You should not be subject to court proceedings involving an offense specified in part 1 of the Personal Management Licence Legal Supplement 2018 and 2019.
  • You should not be the subject of bankruptcy proceedings.
  • You should not be adjudged bankrupt.
  • You should not be the object of any process, investigation, or proceeding under customs, or revenue laws.


FeesEdit

The application fee is RS. 15,000.

ValidityEdit

The license is valid for three years and eligible for renewal.

  • Licensee Name.
  • Type of license.
  • Validity of license.
  • Place of Operation.


OTHER INFORMATION

  • Company Name.
  • Name of Société/Joint Venture.
  • Name of Associates or Members.
  • Nature of their share or interest in the Joint Venture or Société.
  • Declaration by the applicant (signature/company stamp/seal/name).


Need for the DocumentEdit

No person/business/company shall operate/act as personal management for the following fields, {Casino /gaming machines/Amusement machine, etc.} unless he/she holds the appropriate license, issued by the Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA).
