Apply In Person

  1. To apply for a Change in the Number of Living Quarters, the applicant should make the application to the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office. Please view the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office contact details through this Contact Details.
  2. To obtain the application form, applicants should visit the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office near them and collect the application form at the reception of the office or download the form directly through this Application Form for Change in Number of Living Quarters.
  3. Read and complete the application form as required and then print the form. Note that if the application will be submitted by a third party, then the third party should complete the proxy section of the application form.
  4. Then the applicant should obtain all the required supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section below and attach the documents to the application form in a single file.
  5. Visit the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office and submit the application file to the officer at the service desk for verification.

  10. The inspectors will conduct the inspection and write a quotation of the total expenses the applicant will incur for the change of living quarters.
  11. The applicant should visit the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office and pay the quoted fee and obtain the payment receipt.
  12. Then the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office will complete the change and complete all the necessary work at the site within seven days.


Apply through Email

  1. Alternatively, applicants can submit the completed application form along with all the required supporting documents to the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office through this email address: [email protected]
  2. Once the application is received by the CWA, the applicant will receive an email from the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office confirming that the request has been taken into consideration and given further instructions.
  3. The applicant will then be required to visit the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office near him/her and pay the processing fees, upon which the applicant will be issued with a receipt.
  4. After making the payment, the applicant will be issued the acknowledgment receipt of the application and a site inspection date will be scheduled by the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office.

  3. The applicant will then be required to visit the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office near him/her and pay the processing fees, upon which the applicant will be issued with a receipt.
