Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for School Holiday Leisure Activities (Special Vacances) in person, the applicant has to approach the MINISTRY OF TOURISM authority or Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) Contact link or Contact link
2. Applicants must obtain the application form from the respective office.
3. Applicants must fill in all the necessary details on the application form.
4. The applicant has to make sure that he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful, and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
5. Applicants should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form while submitting it at the office.
6. Then the applicant should pay the required fee and fees details can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
7. Submit the completed form along with the supporting documents to the respective office.
8. This application will be processed and information will be verified by the authority.
9. If the verification is successful, the notification will be sent to the applicant.
10. After getting the notification from concerned authorities, the applicant can visit the office to collect their document.
11. Generally, the processing time is between 5 weeks, depending on the situation.

1. The applicant has to visit the website of the Ministry of Education and Human Resources.
2. Click on the “Student” tab at the top of the page.
3. Under the “School Holiday Leisure Activities” section, click on the “Apply Online” link.
4. Follow the instructions on the page to fill out the application form.
5. When the applicant has completed the form with the required documents and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page, then the applicant clicks the “Submit” button at the bottom of the page.
6. Wait for confirmation of acceptance or rejection of the applicant application.
7. Arrange for payment of the corresponding fees for the activities and fees details can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
8. Applicants will receive a confirmation email once the applicant application has been received and processed.
9. Once the applicant’s application is approved, the applicant will be contacted with further instructions on how to proceed with the enrollment process.
10. After completing the enrollment process, the applicant will be able to begin taking part in the activities offered through the Ministry of Education and Human Resources.
11. It could take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to complete the application.

• Any students between the ages of 6 and 17 who are registered with the Mauritius Ministry of Education and Human Resources are eligible for School Holiday Leisure Activities (Special Vacances).

• Generally, fees range from approximately $100 to $400 per person, per week.
