Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for Parcel Identification Number (Ministry of Housing and Lands), the applicant must visit the Ministry of Housing and Land Use Planning in Mauritius.Contact link
  2. Application form can be obtained from this link or the applicant should obtain the application form from the authority.
  3. The applicant should fill all the required details in the application form.
  4. The applicant should the necessary documents such as proof of ownership, title deed and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
  5. A fee for this procedure is has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
  6. The application form and documents should be submitted to the Head of the Cadastral Division at the Ministry of Housing and Lands.
  7. The Ministry of Housing and Lands will review the application and may ask for additional information if needed.
  8. Once the application is received, the Ministry of Housing and Lands will issue an official receipt.
  9. The Ministry of Housing and Lands will assign a surveyor to survey the land once the application is approved.
  10. The surveyor will prepare a comprehensive report and submit it to the Ministry of Housing and Lands for their review.
  11. The Ministry of Housing and Lands will review the report and, upon approval, take the necessary action.
  12. Once the necessary requirements have been satisfied, the applicant will receive a certificate for the parcel identification number from the Ministry of Housing and Lands.
  13. The processing time for this process takes 15 days.

  • This includes landowners, tenants, borrowers, and all other stakeholders in the property.
