  1. To apply for hiring a tractor for agriculture purposes, you should make your application to the Mauritius Cane Industry Authority (MCIA), Agricultural and Mechanical Unit (AMU). Please view the MCIA contact details through this link MCIA Contact Details.
  2. Visit the MCIA office in your location and go to the AMU section to obtain the application form for hiring a tractor. You can also obtain the form electronically through the online procedure explained below.
  3. Once you have obtained the application form, complete it correctly by providing accurate information of the required details and attach all the required documents to the completed application form.
  4. Then go to the MCIA office and submit your application to the assisting official at the Agricultural and Mechanical Unit (AMU).
  5. The officer will verify your application and check if you have provided all the required details as required.
  6. Upon verification, the application will be forward to the responsible officials for assessment.
  7. The authority will evaluate your application and then they will formulate the total expenses for hiring the tractor depending on your needs.
  8. The authority will then contact you and inform you of the formulated quotation of the total expenses to be paid for the tractor.
  9. Once you have received the quotation, pay the required fees at the MCIA cashier unit and obtain the payment receipt.
  10. After paying the hiring fee, the tractor will be dispatched to your site to complete the tusk hired.
