Apply In-Person
- To apply for Recognition and Equivalence of Foreign Qualifications, the applicant should make the application to the Mauritius Qualifications Authority (MQA). Please view the Qualifications Authority contact details through this link: Contact Details.
- Visit the Qualifications Authority office to obtain the application form at the front office or download the form directly through this link: Application form.
- Read and complete the application accordingly and prepare all the required supporting documents as instructed in the application form or as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section below and attach the documents to the application form in a single file.
- The applicant should then visit the Qualifications Authority office and pay the processing of MUR 1300 at the cashier's office and obtain the payment receipt.
- Then submit the application file along with the payment receipt to the official at the Qualifications Authority service desk.
- The official will verify the application and check if the form is completed as required and confirm if all the required supporting documents are attached.
- Upon the verification process and the application is complete as required, the applicant will be issued with the acknowledgment receipt of the application.
- The application will be forwarded to the Recognition and Equivalence Committee.
- The committee will evaluate the application according to the policy and criteria of the Qualifications Authority and make their recommendations on the application.
- The committee’s recommendation will then be submitted to the Qualifications Authority management for endorsement and then the applicant will be informed of the outcome of the application through his/her contact details.
- If the application is approved, the applicant will be issued a Statement of Recognition and Equivalence within two months.

- Identification Document (copy of National Identity Card or Passport).
- Certified true photocopy of the certificate and transcripts (in original language).
- Details on the structure of the training program.
- Processing fee.
- Documentation in support of name change (if applicable) e.g. marriage certificate
- Note: All documents other than in English/French language shall be translated by a Competent Authorised Body in the English Language
