Apply Online

  1. Applicant must go to the e-licensing website for the Republic of Mauritius link
  2. Information related to the authority can be obtained from the “Office locations and contacts” section of this page.
  3. Applicant can click on the "Login" button in the top right corner of the page. link
  4. If the user is already having an account, enter their username and password and click "Sign In". link
  5. If the user doesn't have an account, click on the "Create an Account" link.
  6. Then the user needs to enter personal information, such as the applicant’s name, address, email address, and phone number.
  7. Choose a username and password that the applicant will use to log in.
  8. The user should Read and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  9. Then the user must click the "Create Account" button, and they will receive an email with a link to complete the registration process.
  10. Once they click on the link, they must follow the instructions to complete the registration, after which they will be able to log in to their account on the e-licensing website.
  11. Then the user must then click on the "Apply for E-Licensing" button, and will be directed to a form to fill in the required information link
  12. The user must provide the details of the business they wish to register, such as the name, address, contact information, type of business, etc.
  13. Then the user must attach the necessary documents, including the business registration documents, and the documents can be found under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  14. Then the user need to Submit the form and make the payment of the applicable license fee and the fees can be found under the “Fees” section of this page.
  15. Once the payment is made, an acknowledgment will be sent to the user’s registered email address.
  16. The authority will review the user application.
  17. Once the application is approved, the user will receive an email confirming their e-licensing approval.
  18. Then the user must log in to their account and activate their e-licensing using the provided activation code.
  19. Once the activation is successful, the user will be able to access their e-licensing account and use it to conduct business.
  20. The user must sign and submit the Declaration of Compliance form, along with any supporting documents, to the relevant authority in order to obtain a valid e-licensing certificate.
  21. The user will receive an email confirming the license has been successfully issued.
  22. The license will be processed and issued within a period of three working days.

EligibilityEdit

Any Mauritian citizen or foreign national who is over 18 years of age and who has a valid identity card, passport or residence permit is eligible to apply for an E-Licensing in the Republic of Mauritius.

FeesEdit

Some of the specific fees are detailed below:

  • Business Licenses: Rs50,000
  • Employment Licenses: Rs25,000
  • Work Permit: Rs50,000
  • Investment Licenses: Rs100,000
  • Intellectual Property Licenses: Rs25,000
  • Fishing Licenses: Rs25,000


Note: A fees is non-refundable.

  • Visit the website of the Republic of Mauritius.
  • Select the relevant category of the license the applicant is applying for.
  • Follow the instructions and fill in the required information.
  • Upload the required documents.
  • Submit the applicant application online.
  • Make the payment for the application fee.
  • If the applicant application is approved, he/she will receive an email notification.
