Procedure

Apply Online

1. To apply for Authorisation to Use Public Beach, the applicant should make the authorization application to the Beach Authority. Please view the Beach Authority contact details through this link: Contact Details.
2. To obtain the application form for authorization to use a public beach, visit the Beach Authority website via this link: Beach Authority.
3. On the website, navigate the cursor to point at the “Licensing” drop-down menu at the information bar and then move the cursor to point at the “Application Forms” menu and then click on the “Application For Authorisation To Use Public Beach” to open the form.
4. Complete the online form by providing all the required information correctly.
5. Once the form is completed, check the Captcha box and click on the “Submit” button to send the application.
6. The Beach Authority will review the application to determine if it meets the required merits to be granted the authorization. Note, that the authority may request the applicant to furnish additional document/s and/or information to complete the application where necessary.
7. After the review process and the authority determines that the application meets all the required merits, the authority will approve the application.
8. Upon the approval, the applicant will be informed of the approval by the Beach Authority in writing and the applicant will be requested to pay the deposit of MUR 3000 and the daily fee of MUR 1000.
9. Once the applicant completes making the required payments, the authority will process the application within 21 days and issue the applicant with the authorization permit to use the public beach for the days applied for.

1. To apply for Authorisation to Use Public Beach by Post, obtain the application form directly through this link Application form or visiting the Beach Authority website via this link: Beach Authority.
2. Download the application form and complete the application form with the correct information.
3. Then send the application to the Beach Authority through this address: Beach Authority, 7th Floor, Ebène Heights Building, Plot 34, Ebène Cybercity, Ebène.
4. The applicant can also opt to send the application to the Beach Authority by email: to [email protected] or by fax on: 468 6213.
5. The Beach Authority will review the application to determine if it meets the required merits to be granted the authorization. Note, that the authority may request the applicant to furnish additional document/s and/or information to complete the application where necessary.

Instructions

The applicant should carry the authorization permit at all times while using the public beach and should be able to produce it when requested by the Beach Authority or the Police.
