Procedure

Apply In Person

1. To apply for the annual registration of a company, the applicant should make the annual registration fee of the company to the Corporate and Business Registration Department which is the Department of the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Development. Please view the Corporate and Business Registration Department contact details through this Contact Details.
2. To make the payment by cash as mentioned in the “fees” section below, the applicant should visit the Corporate and Business Registration Department Cash Office situated at this address: One Cathedral Square Building, Jules Koenig Street, Port Louis during the official hours.
3. At the office, the applicant will pay the annual registration fee to the cashier and obtain the payment receipt.
4. Upon making the payment, the Corporate and Business Registration Department will automatically update the annual registration of the company.

Other modes of paying the annual registration fee in person.

1. The applicant can opt to pay the annual registration fee by drawing a cheque. Note that the cheque should be payable to the Government of Mauritius and it should be crossed.
2. Upon writing the cheque, the applicant should visit the Corporate and Business Registration Department Cash Office situated at this address: One Cathedral Square Building, Jules Koenig Street, Port Louis during the following official hours.
3. At the office, the applicant should submit the cheque to the cashier and obtain the payment receipt.
4. The Corporate and Business Registration Department Office will deposit the cheque and upon the maturity of the cheque, the Corporate and Business Registration Department will automatically update the annual registration of the company.

Note:

• The applicant can also send the cheque to the Corporate and Business Registration Department office through a registered postal address.
• The applicant should indicate on verso, the file number, and name of the company, and the name, address, and phone number of a contact person.

Apply Online

1. To apply for the annual registration of a company, the applicant should make the annual registration fee of the company to the Corporate and Business Registration Department Office using the Companies and Businesses Registration Integrated System (CBRIS) Companies and Businesses Registration Integrated System.
2. On the website, the applicant should enter his/her user name and password to log in to his/her account. Note that if the applicant doesn’t have an account, then the applicant will have to register with The Mauritius Network Services (MNS) using this online process Online Registration for CBRIS.
3. Upon the online registration with the Companies and Businesses Registration Integrated System, the applicant will be issued his/her user name and password.
4. Use the login credential to login into the Companies and Businesses Registration Integrated System through this Companies and Businesses Registration Integrated System.
5. On the website, click on the “Pay Yearly/Trade Fees” button to go to the “Dashboard” and click on the “Search Pending Fees” button.
6. On the next page, click on the “Yearly Fees” and select the appropriate file number.
7. Once the file is opened, on the left side of the screen, click on the “Check amount due” button and proceed to make payment with the applicant's credit card using the online platform.
8. Upon making the payment, the Corporate and Business Registration Department Office will send the payment receipt to the applicant through his/her email account.
9. Then the Corporate and Business Registration Department will automatically update the annual registration of the company.

Note:

• The Annual Registration of a Company is effected by paying the annual registration fee of the company.
