Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To amend the date of your passport, you should make your application to the Passport and Immigration office. Please view the Mauritius Passport and Immigration office contact details through this Contact details.
2. Download the application form for endorsement of a passport through this application for the endorsement of a passport.
3. Complete the endorsement form accordingly and then prepare the rest of the required supporting documents in a single file.
4. Visit the Passport and Immigration office and pay the amendment fee to the cashier and obtain the payment receipt.
5. Then submit the complete application along with all the required documents including the payment receipt, to the official at the service desk.
6. The officer will check your application to confirm if it is completed as required and if you have provided all the necessary documents.
7. Upon verification, your application will be forward to the relevant official at the back office for processing.
8. The application will be processed and the amendment will be inserted in your passport as an observation on the passport.
9. You will then be issued with your amended passport.

The application fee is Rs. 100

Validity

The amendment made on the passport is valid for the lifetime of the passport.
