Martinique - Apply for a passport
ProcedureEdit
- To apply for a biometric passport, you must go in person to a municipal hall (or consular authority if you live abroad), equipped with the necessary supporting documents.
- Applicants must be present while applying for a passport
- Fill in the application form
- You may be required to make an appointment to submit the application
- You can apply for the electronic passports at the Consulate General of France
- A passport is issued to an individual and certifies their identity; the conditions for issuance are stricter in terms of civil status and nationality.
- The centralized production of the electronic passports prohibits immediate delivery.
- However, in case of, a justified, emergency the Consulate can issue an emergency passport with a validity of one year.
- The applicant, including minors, must appear in person at the Consulate or before an Honorary Consul to submit their application and return to pick up the passport.

If you have a secure identity card (plastic)
- Cerfa Form No. 12100 * 02 application (print after filling online or fill out on arrival)
- Revenue Stamps : 86 (Or 89 for an application abroad or overseas if the picture is taken directly at the counter)
- 2 identical photos
- Proof of residence : original + photocopy
- Identity card: original + photocopy
If you do not have an identity card (or only an older model card)
- Cerfa Form No. 12100 * 02 application(print after filling online or fill out on arrival)
- Revenue Stamps : 86(Or 89 for an application abroad or overseas if the picture is taken directly at the counter)
- 2 identical photos
- Proof of residence : original + photocopy
- Birth of less than 3 months (extracted with filiation or complete copy): original.
- If you were born in a town affected by the dematerialization of civil status documents , you do not need to produce a birth certificate.
- If the proof of marital status does not prove citizenship, a proof of French nationality : original + photocopy

How ever processing depends on the place and time of the request. For example, the approach of the summer holidays, delays are likely to increase significantly.
If you specified a mobile phone number on the application form, you will receive a SMS when the passport is available
Passports must be collected within 3 months or they will be destroyed
