You have 1 month to make the move. Afterwards , you risk a fine of up to 750 (in general, lump sum fine of 135 ).

Via a Professional
  1. You can ask an authorized professional who will do the work for you.

  1. Check beforehand on the website of the prefecture or the standard how the approach can be accomplished.
  2. Go to the prefecture (or sub-prefecture) of your choice, not necessarily in your department either yourself or by giving a proxy to a loved one. (See Office Locations and Contact Information below.)
  3. Submit your file including the documents listed below.
  4. After submission, you will receive a Provisional Certificate of Registration (CPI) immediately.
  5. You will receive your definitive gray card in a secure envelope at your home in a time that can vary.

Note:

  • It allows you to circulate for one month (in France only) pending receipt of your definitive certificate (the titles are no longer produced in prefecture).
  • You can follow the progress of the realization of your gray card online.
  • If you have filed your file for a month and you have not received your registration card, you can contact the ANTS (National Security Agency).

  • Application for a 3-in-1 certificate ( cerfa No. 13749 * 04 ), which serves both for registration, tax proof, certificate of conformity and certificate of sale
  • If you have a 2 wheels less than 50 cm3 that is not new but has never been registered before, and you do not have the certificate of conformity, you can present a conditional equivalence document
  • Proof of identity (original + copy), one per co-owner
  • Proof of domicile (original + copy), or in case of co-owners, the proof of the address whose address will appear on the gray card
  • Power of attorney , if someone makes the step for you or if one of the co-owners does it for all co-owners
  • Cost of the registration card , check (check the order on the site of the prefecture) or sometimes also in cash or credit card, subject to a certain amount (inquire before)
  • If you have purchased a vehicle that is not ready for use , a separate receipt report (ITR) to be obtained from the Dreal you depend on (it will give you a list of the documents to be provided and set an appointment To examine your vehicle).

  • If you have a Provisional Certificate (CPI) and you have not received the final registration certificate after 10 days
  • If you do not have an IPC and have not received the final registration certificate after the expiry of the period (Privilege the request via the online form)
