ProcedureEdit
- Obtain the Application Form A from any of these: the Passport Office, the Police Stations, Local councils or Travel Agencies.
Form A: https://mhas.gov.mt/en/MHAS-Departments/The%20Passport%20Office/Documents/3_FORM%20A%20MALTINGLIZ_ver6%200_Oct2011.pdf - Fill in and complete the application form.
- Have a sponsor or recommender. This person must be a professional person (or priest) who has known you for at least two years ago.
- Your sponsor or recommender must complete the relevant part of the application form.
- Submit the application form to the Ministry of Home Affairs and National Security (MHAS).
- Bring an ID Card to prove your identity and your Certificate of Refugee issued by the Commission of Refugees.
- Have your photo (biometric facial image) and fingerprints taken.
- Pay the passport application fee.
- Collect your passport after four (4) working days. Bring your ID card.

- If you are applying for a minor:
- the application form completed and signed by both parents
- Two identical color photographs taken your child on a white background. One of them should be signed on the back by the recommender to also complete the relevant part of the application form.
- All your Identity Card and your spouse (or your Travel Document both)
- the passport, if any, of your child if he / she had already been issued / issued a Travel Document
