- You should visit the Regional Transport Directorate at the registration section, or the transport subdivision at the Cercle level near you with the vehicle and Collect necessary forms and accurately fill them and submit them to be verified, recorded and pay the report for observation for registration fee and any other additional fees.
- An expert appointed by the transport directorate will assess the road worthiness of the vehicle (determine its condition, technical characteristics), and draw up a report of the finding (PVC).
- A report copy is then sent to the National Directorate of Trade and Competition for the establishment of the import certificate and the calculation of duties and stamp fees.
- Another report copy is then sent to the Regional Tax Directorate for the payment of duties and stamps and for registration.
- The Regional Director of Taxes forwards a copy of the file to the Regional Customs Department where the approved concessionaire evaluates customs duties on the basis of the official report.
- If approved the dealer/applicant should prepare the customs declaration, official report, the import certificate, the registration document or the vehicle purchase invoice and submit them to one-stop-shop to be verified and validated by the accountant.
- In case of a vehicle being liquidation the accountant of the one-stop-shop issues a liquidation slip which authorizes the payment of customs duties to the treasury.
- After liquidation, the counting operation takes place; a copy of the file is given to the owner of the vehicle, a copy is kept at the Revenue Department, one in the archives. The file is then sent to the verifier who, after verification, establishes a certificate of release for consumption (CME).
- The certificate of release for consumption is signed by the verifier and the Head of Office of the One Stop Shop, then sent by slip to the Regional Department of Transport to obtain the provisional Gray Card.
- The Registration Section after verification and registration of the file, while issues a technical inspection authorization signed by the Director and valid for 24 hours.
- Head to the Regional Department of Transport office and make payment for the duties and stamps and for registration, upon which you will be issued with a payment receipts.
- Present the payment receipts, to the Secretariat of the Registration Section to be verified who then establishes a provisional receipt for the registration card signed by the Regional Director.
- The provisional document for the issuing of the Gray card is then returned to the registration Section to be issued to the applicant within 2 days.
- The Regional Director will then forward a copy of the file to National Directorate of Transport specifically to the Production Division of transport documents for registration in the national file and issue of the Gray Card signed by the National Director or his deputy.
- The final gray card is returned by Bordereau to the Regional Directorate from which it emanates and is registered at the level of the Registration Division.
- The applicant should then visit the Secretariat of the registration section and present the Provisional Gray card and your identity card to be validated and collect the Gray card.
