- Applicant should visit the courts office within your jurisdiction and express your interest at the court clerk office/desk and,
- Collect necessary forms and accurately fill them;
- Attach all the required documents (see required document below); and
- Submit the documents to be verified and recorded.
- The file is then transmitted to the secretariat of the president of the Tribunal office to be reviewed, after review the president issues a deposit order.
- You will then be advised to make payment of the deposit order fees against the receipt, upon which you will be issued with an acknowledgment receipt.
- Upon making payment the president of the Tribunal will registry the file and sets the date for the hearing and assigns the case to the Chamber competent to judge it.
- You {petitioner} will be issued with a receipt indicating the date of court hiring .please note that you are required to be present for the hiring.
- On the schedule hiring date the debates take place in the Council chamber, the tribunal listen to the petitioner real motivation for the sale the property/goods and what are the benefit that the child derives from the operation.
- The tribunal can also listen to the minor close relative’s statements. The judge will then decide to grant or refuse the authorization.
- The judge writes his/her judgment within 15 days and submits the file to the court registry to be registered. The chief clerk delivers the consignments and the bulk for retrieval by the applicant upon presenting his/her identification document to be validate.
- Note: If the judge refuses, the applicant can appeal at the court, the court clerk who prepares the appeal.

- A request stamped at 200 FCFA addressed to the President of the Tribunal
- Legal document showing proof of ownership of the goods/property.
- The agreement of one of the parents (case where the parents live and are together)
- A supervisory report
- A minutes of deliberation from the Family Council submitted to the Court for approval.
- Valid identification document {NIC card/passport}
