Apply In-Person

  1. As an Applicant you should go to the General Secretariat of the Prefect office near you and express your interest at the front desk and;
    • Collect necessary forms and accurately fill them;
    • Attach all the required documents (see required document below); and
    • Submit the documents to be verified and recorded.
  2. The secretariat will then verify the application file, if the secretariat is satisfied that the application file is in order, the file is registered and you will be issued a registration receipt.
  3. The file is then forward to the domanial section for registration and then transmitted to the Head of the State Section to be examined, the file is then sent to the first deputy for further assessment and then the First Deputy attaches a technical sheet to the file which is sent to the technical services for their opinions and issuing of the file and transmission slip to the applicant if approved.
    • Please note: Opinion of the technical services on the file (verification of compliance with the law and regulations).
  4. You should then visit the prefect office where you had filed the application, with your NIC card, registration receipt and collect the file and transmission slip.
  5. Then head to the National Directorate of Domains and Cadastre {DNDC} office and submit the file and transmission slip for processing
  6. The DNDC will then affix the service visa on the technical sheet, and avail the file for collection
  7. Upon being notified, head to the DNDC office and collect the file and submit it to the Regional Directorate of Development and Rural Equipment {DRAER} office for processing by the rural engineering.
  8. If approved the DRAER will affix the service visa on the technical sheet and avail the file for collection.
  9. Upon being notified, head to the DRAER office and collect the file and transmit the file including the opinion of the DNDC and the DRAER to Regional Department of Town Planning and Housing {DRUH} office for further processing.
  10. If approved the DRUH will affix the service visa on the technical sheet, the file is then issued to you.
  11. Upon receipt of the file, you should then transmit the file containing the opinion of the technical services to the Circle office for processing.
  12. An agent at the state-owned section will then prepare the payment slip and issued a bulletin signed by the Prefect, inviting you to come to the management to pay the costs {rural concession fee }.
  13. Upon making payment of the royalty fees to the management, you will be issued with a receipt, which will be attached to the file and registered by an agent of the domanial section.
  14. The provisional title decision will then be established by the technical services to the Circle office and it is recorded by the department responsible and the Prefect's certificate is drawn and signed by the prefect, so as to certifying that the award procedure of the certificate complies with the law.
  15. The certificate is then registered by the land register, and issued to you, upon presenting your NIC and registration receipt to the registrar to be validate.
  16. A copy of the certificate is then transmitted to the Regional Directorate of Domains and Cadastre office for Filing / archiving of the file.
