Maldives - Renew Registration of vehicle If Previous Registration is Cancelled

ProcedureEdit

  1. Take a token number and when your number is displayed, submit the filled application form with the necessary documents to the service counter.
  2. Collect an acknowledgement slip form the counter if you have submitted all the required documents. (This slip states the time and dates which to collect Vehicle registration certificate from the Transport Division.)
  3. Go to the service counter of Transport Authority on the date specified on the acknowledgement slip (after taking a token number) and submit the slip to the counter.
  4. Sign on the slip issued from the counter stating that you have collected the Vehicle registration certificate from Maldives Transport Authority and obtain the certificate.

  • Vehicle registration certificate (original).
  • The registration cancellation document. (original)
  • The expired roadworthiness report for the applied vehicle.

EligibilityEdit

  • This service will not be provided for the vehicle if the annual fee is not paid after the due date for the requested vehicle.
  • Should not have any outstanding payment for the requested vehicle to Transport Authority due to any reason.
  • Should not have any out standing fees for the requested vehicle due to a traffic problem.

  • Rf 100 for renewing the registration which has been canceled upon request
  • Amount to be paid for the revenue stamp
    • MOTOR CYCLE, MOTORISED BICYCLE & SCOOTER, etc
      • Less than 50cc - Rf 30
      • 50cc to 100cc - Rf 30
      • 100cc to 150cc - Rf 30
      • 150cc to 200cc - Rf 30
      • 200cc to 400cc - Rf 30
      • More than 400cc - Rf 30
    • CAR, JEEP & VAN, etc
      • Less than 1000cc - Rf 40
      • 1000cc to 1500cc - Rf 40
      • 1500cc to 2000cc - Rf 40
      • More than 2000cc - Rf 40
    • LORRY, TRACTOR, PICKUP, FORKLIFT & CRANE, etc
      • Less than 2 ton - Rf 40
      • 2 ton to 5 ton - Rf 100
      • More than 5ton - Rf 100
