Maldives - Online Police Clearance Certificate
- Step 1 : First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure, please visit the following link : Required Documents for Police Clearance Certificate
- Step 2 : Please use the following link to apply online : Apply Online.
- Step 3 : In the given page, please go through the instructions and terms and conditions about the process and how to obtain the certificate. Click the checkbox against “I agree to the terms and conditions” and hit “Proceed” tab which is highlighted in RED in the below image to get the next page.
- Step 4 : Now select the option as per your category “Maldivian” OR “Foreigner” tab to get the next page. Refer the below image where the options are highlighted in RED.
- Step 5 : If you select “Maldivian” option then you will be taken to the form page where you have to enter all the mandatory details and click “Verify” tab which is highlighted in RED in the below image. Likewise complete all the sections and click appropriate tab. Make sure you have completed the sections which are highlighted in Yellow in the below image.
- Step 6 : If you select “Foreigner” option then you will be taken to the form page where you have to enter all the mandatory details and click “Next” tab which is highlighted in RED in the below image.
- Step 7 : In this page you will get the confirmation message. Also a link for verification will be sent to your registered Email ID. Go to email and click on the link given to verify. Then click “I have verified” tab which is highlighted in RED in the below image. Now another set of prompts will be displayed. Choose the option which is applicable to you and click “Save and continue” tab which is highlighted in RED in the below image.

- Step 8 : In this page please attach the required documents and images for verification. Then click “Next” tab which is highlighted in RED in the below image.
- Step 9 : Once the online applying process is complete, applicant will get a email and SMS in mobile along with a token (this token will be effective for 72 hours to complete any incomplete details).
- Step 10 : This online application will be processed by the respective department to issue the certificate as per applicable norms. The police certificate can be collected from a police station nearest to you, or from the police headquarters as notified.
