a. Apply Online - Maldives Obtain Police Clearance Certificate Online with Images
  1. In order to apply for PCC online, applicant has to reach the online portal: link
  2. In the given page, please go through the instructions and terms and conditions about the process and how to obtain the certificate.
  3. Click the box for “I agree …” and hit proceed tab below to get next page.
  4. Here select the option as per your category “Maldivian” OR “Foreigner” tab to get the next page .
  5. Here applicant will get prompts to fill(verify) details and hit respective tab to reach successive page.
  6. Once the online applying process is complete, applicant will get a email and sms in mobile along with a token (this token will be effective for 72 hours to complete any incomplete details)
  7. This online application will be processed by the respective department to issue the certificate as per applicable norms.
  8. The police certificate can be collected from a police station nearest to you, or from the police headquarters as notified.


Applying process in Maldives for citizen and non citizen.

  1. Applicant should send their completed application to the Maldives Police Service by post or email.

  3. Received application will be processed by respective department. The Maldives Police Service will inform applicant, the date, time and place where they can get their certificate.
  4. You must show your original National Identity Card to get your certificate.


Applying process – overseas for both citizen and non citizen

  1. Applicant should send their completed application to the Maldives Police Service by post.
  2. Please send the completed application, documents and fees paid details to ….

  • Citizen proof/Document of National Identity (DNI).


Foreign national

  • A copy of your passport while living in Maldives.
  • A copy of your permit of stay in Maldives, passport number and place of issue as well.
  • Proofs of legal stay (copy of passport held during the said period with respective stamp and seal).

  • Applicant with valid passport and a valid address proof.
  • Age: 16 years and above. In case of minors, the application must be submitted by the parent exercising parental authority, if the minor has not turned 16 years.
  • The current address of the applicant must be same as in the passport and other supporting documents.
  • Applicants who are in need of residential status, employment or long term visa or for immigration to a foreign nation.
