PROCESS FOR CITIZENS & NON CITIZENS OF MALAYSIA – FOR BOTH WHO LIVE IN MALAYSIA AND OVERSEAS:

Apply Online - Malaysia Obtain Police Clearance Certificate (Certificate of Good Conduct) Online with Images

  1. In order to apply for PCC online, applicant has to reach the online portal: Apply online
  2. In the given page, please select “Letter of Good Conduct (SKB)” under e-consular session on the screen to get the login page.
  3. Please login using the credentials and hit login. If not a registered user, please use the “First time login? Click here.” to register and then login.
  4. Once login, Click Application for Certificate of Good Conduct option and follow the screen prompt to complete the online application process for further processing.
  5. Please save the acknowledgement for future reference.
  6. Login again to check the status of application using the details as per acknowledgement.
  7. Certificate can be collected at Consular Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Putrajaya, Malaysia or Malaysian High Commission in respective country, by producing
  8. Application Acknowledgement Slip.
  9. Fee of RM20.00 in cash/money order/bank draft payable to Malaysian High Commission.
  10. Letter of authorization for collection on behalf of the applicant.
  11. If collection by post, then attach An A4 size self-addressed envelope with the above set of documents.



Apply In Person (Non – Citizenship)

  1. To Obtain Police Clearance Certificate (Certificate of Good Conduct), the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia Embassy and Consulates – link
  2. The applicant has to visit the office with the request letter.
  3. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
  4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  5. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
  8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  9. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
  10. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  11. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
  12. The applicant has to visit the office to get the clearance certificate.
  13. This entire process can be completed within 15-20 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

EligibilityEdit

  • Applicant with valid passport and a valid address proof.
  • Age: 16 years and above. In case of minors, the application must be submitted by the parent exercising parental authority, if the minor has not turned 16 years.
  • The current address of the applicant must be same as in the passport and other supporting documents.
  • Applicants who are in need of residential status, employment or long term visa or for immigration to a foreign nation.

Fees payable to

  • “AKAUNTAN NEGARA MALAYSIA” (for payment made within Malaysia) or
  • Equivalent to RM20 in local currency, payable to “EMBASSY OF MALAYSIA / HIGH COMMISSION OF MALAYSIA / CONSULATE GENERAL OF MALAYSIA” of that particular countries.

The CGC is a hard-copy document printed on official A4 paper with the following details:

  • A government letter head
  • A paragraph certifying that the individual is of good conduct
  • The signature of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • The official stamp of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the logo of the Ministry in the middle The CGC does not provide information about an individual’s full criminal record but only states whether an individual has any identifiable records.
