ProcedureEdit

  1. To apply for a Malaysia passport, go to any Immigration Offices or Malaysian Representative Offices.
  2. Submit the documents required.
  3. Complete the application form.

  4. Pay the fee.

  • Original MyKad and 1 photocopies (printed in A4 paper)
  • Most recent passport size photograph (2 copies)
  • Completed Form Im.42-pin 1/97
  • Original Citizenship Certificate (if applicable)
  • Old passport (for renewal case)

For Applicants Below 12 years oldEdit

  • Original Birth Certificate and 1 photocopies (printed in A4 paper)
  • Most recent passport size photograph (2 copies)
  • Completed Form Im.42-pin 1/97
  • Original Mother / Father / Guardian MyKad and 1 photocopies (printed in A4 paper)

Fees According to Pages:
Normal price

  • RM100.00 for 48 Pages (Valid for 2 years)
  • RM300.00 for 48 pages (Valid for 5 years)
  • RM600.00 for 64 pages (Valid for 5 years)

Discounted / Half price

  • RM80.00 for 48 Pages (Valid for 2 years)
  • RM150.00 for 48 pages (Valid for 5 years)
  • RM300.00 for 64 pages (Valid for 5 years)

Notes:

  • Condition for Discounted / Half price:
    Senior citizens (60 years old & above), children below 12 years old and student below 21 years old with proof to study abroad on the day submission.
  • Exemption of payment is given to the handicap or disable person on the condition that they produce a letter from the Welfare Department.



ValidityEdit

A Malaysia Passport is valid after five days or two days from the date of issued.

Processing TimeEdit

The passport can be issued within 2 hours for passport issuance offices and 3 working days for recipient office. Some immigration offices can issue the passport within 1 hour after received the payment.

InstructionsEdit

  • Applicants must appear in person at any Immigration Offices or Malaysian Representative Offices.
  • Payment can be made by:
    • Cash
    • Crossed Postal Money Order or Bank Draft under the name of Director- General of Immigration Malaysia or State Immigration Director only.
    • The Payment for application via Malaysian Offices Abroad by commonwealth country must be under the name of Malaysia High Commissioner or Deputy Malaysia High Commissioner or by Non-commonwealth country must be under the name of Malaysia Ambassador or Malaysia Consulate General.

Need for the DocumentEdit

A Malaysia Passport is a valid travel document issued to Malaysian citizens by the Malaysian Government for the purpose of traveling abroad. It is the property of The Government of Malaysia and it may be withdrawn at any time if the Immigration Department is satisfied that the passport is used forbidden by the law.
