Apply OnlineEdit

  1. To Renew Business Permit, the applicant has to make the application online via the Department of Trade and Industry – link
  2. The applicant has to read the terms and conditions and click the “I agree” button.
  3. Enter the Reference Code/Transaction Reference Number (TRN) and click search. The applicant Business Name should appear in the results.
  4. Click on the Business Name and the applicant will be redirected to the Transaction Summary page.
  5. Click the “Next” button and choose the “Renew and Update Info” or “Update Scope and Renew”.
  6. Enter the renewal details application and click the “Next”.
  7. The applicant will get the reference code and it will be used in all the transactions with BNRS.
  8. Click the “Continue” button and follow the application fill-up, after completing click the “Proceed” button.
  9. The payment section will subsequently appear whereupon her/she should select the payment method prescribed by the system.

  11. Once the payment transaction is successful, the Certificate of renewal Business Name Registration will be sent to the email.
  12. The processing time for this procedure is within an hour.

Apply In-PersonEdit

  1. Here are the procedures on how you can renew your Makati City Business Permit. First, you will need to gather all the documents you will be submitting and presenting. You can see a list of required documents for business permit renewal below.
  2. Next go to the Business Permit Office of the Makati City Hall. The Office is located on the ground floor, Makati City Hall Parking Building.
  3. Fill up an application for renewal and submit the completed form together with all the required documents at the Business Assessor's Office (windows 10-17)
  4. The officer-in-charge will check your documents for completeness and assess taxes, fees and charges. Note: In case your application received a “subject for inspection” comment, that means you will need to proceed to the Inspection Division.
  5. Your application will be reviewed and once it is approved you will receive a computation of fees and taxes that you will need to pay in order to renew your permit.
  6. Go to the Business Tax Division of the Makati City Hall located on the ground floor (Parking Building). Proceed to the cashier (windows 1-11) to pay the taxes and fees.
  7. After payment you will receive an Assessment and Stamp of Fire Safety Inspection Notice from the clerk of BFP. Your company will also be issued a Sanitary Certificate from the clerk of the MHD –ESHS office and of course you will also received the renewed permit to be release by the clerk of the Business Permit Office.

    1. Declaration of Gross Sales / Receipts for the preceding year.
    2. Capital Investment / Paid-up Capital
  2. Previous Year Mayor’s Business Permit / Billing Assessment
  3. Audited Financial Statement and/or Income Tax Return for the previous year.
    Example: Income Tax Returns and FS for the previous taxable year which were filed and paid with the BIR on or before the April deadline.
    For Consolidated FS, attached breakdown of gross sales /receipts and proof of payment from other City / Municipalities
    For Fiscal Year FS, attached breakdown of gross sales/receipts from January to December.

Processing TimeEdit

According to the Makati City's Business Permit Office (BPO) guidebook (link), the entire renewal process will take about 50mins to be completed. It might be longer in case the Office is currently processing a big volume of applications or you applied a few days before the deadline.
