Procedure

Apply Online

1. To Obtain Copy of Sale Deed (Registered Land Document) Online the applicant has to use the following link
2. On the home page of the Department of registration and Stamps, applicant has to click the “e-search” button under the online services column.
3. A drop-down box with five options will appear, on that, click the “Paid Process” option.
4. Applicant will be directed to a new page like this, link
5. A login box will appear on the homepage of this website. If you already have a login id and password, log in as usual. Others click the “Create New Account” option.
6. An e-form will appear. Fill in your details such as name, address, nationality, Pan Card number, occupation, mobile number, and login-id.
7. Once you verify the user name and click submit button, your id and password will be generated.
8. Now go back to the homepage of this website and log in with your id and password.
9. Applicant will have a lot of options available in the left column. Click the “Make a New Payment” option and pay 300 INR for the sale deed certified copy.
10. Once you click the New Payment Option, applicant will be directed to a page that requires your name and amount.
11. Once you finish the payment, by any method you are comfortable with (credit card/debit card/net banking), your GRN and Tax Id will be generated. Please take note of this without fail and proceed.
12. The payment takes time to update towards your id. Login back and check the homepage to see your payment status.
13. Click the “Search by Document Details” option in the left side column.
14. Select your Sub-Registrar’s office, District and enter your year and document number.
15. Once you are done filling in the details, click the “Request Document” button.
16. Your Document search id will be generated and will appear on the screen. Take a note of this id.
17. Applicant has to Wait for 30 minutes exactly and log in again. On the left side column, select the “Download Document” button.
18. Enter your Document search id that was generated. Then click the “Payment Details” button below.
19. Now enter the Tax Id, GRN id, and the amount you paid and click submit. The “receipt” button will appear now on the screen. Click on it and download your receipt.
20. Once you download the receipt, the “Download Result” button will appear on the screen. You can now download the certified copy.

Apply In-Person

1. First applicant has to File an FIR in your nearby police station stating that your sale deed is lost, misplaced, or stolen.
2. Applicant can check the status of your FIR online before visiting the Sub-Registrar's office (SRO). The address of every office available in the state link
3. Click on the “Offices” in the menu and click on the “List of Tri letters (Short Names) of Sub Registrar offices” to find the offices.
4. Publish a lost and found advertisement stating your deed details with your contact information on any newspaper of choice. Wait for 2 to 4 weeks for someone to return your deed if it was just misplaced.
5. Applicant has to visit the Sub-Registrar’s office where your property is registered and make an application to get the certified copy of your sale deed after the waiting period.
6. Then, prepare an Affidavit on stamped paper.
7. Applicant have to state everything that happened and sign an undertaking. Attach the FIR, newspaper ads, and other press clippings (if any) to the Affidavit.
8. The deed application form for an offline procedure is available in the Sub Registrar's Office.
9. In the deed application form that you have to submit along with your Affidavit and documents, fill in every detail such as year, type, and document number along with your name and contact number.
10. After paying the required fee in the Sub-Registrar's office, hand over the deed application with FIR, newspaper ads, and Affidavit.
11. After verification, a certified copy of the deed will be issued by the Sub-Registrar office.

Note: Advertising in the newspapers is a statutory requirement. And get a copy of your FIR before publishing because some news companies require one when you enquire to be published.

Apply Through CSC:

1. To Apply for Non Creamy Layer Certificate, The applicant has to approach the respective “CSC” center link
2. The applicant has to select state, district, and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centers.
3. Please visit the center and consult with the center operator about your requirement.
4. If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
5. Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in their original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
6. The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as an acknowledgment. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
7. An applicant has to make the necessary payment as the center operator quotes and doesn’t forget to take the receipt.
8. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
9. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
10. The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority (supply officer) will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
11. Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will decide on the issuance of the Non Creamy Layer Certificate.
12. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.
13. If approved, the Minority Scholarship certificate will be hand delivered or sent through post to the address mentioned while applying or issued as per the applicable norms within 30 days or as per the timeline advised.
