Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for an Employee Verification In-Person, get the prescribed form for Employee Verification from the nearest police station in Maharashtra.
2. To find your Police Station, select your city or district from the Link. In the redirected district/city’s webpage, click on “police Station” and locate your Police Station from the list Maharashtra Police
3. In the procured form, fill the required details of the employee.
4. Provide the required information of the employer.
5. Affix the Passport size photograph of the employee in the space given.
6. Attach Photocopy of Photo ID proofs of the employee.
7. Duly sign the form and submit the form at the nearest Police Station.
8. Pay the processing fee if required.
9. Receive the acknowledgement receipt and keep it safe for further reference.
10. Follow up to know the status of your report, and visit the Police Station to get the report once it is ready.
    

Note: Make sure you carry the original Id proofs with you for cross verification.

Apply Online - Apply to get Employee (Job) Verification Online with Images

1. To apply for an Employee Verification online, one has to login to Maharashtra’s Citizen Portal Apply Online
2. If you are a new user, create a new user account with your details by selecting “Create Citizen Login”.
3. Now login with your account and select Employee Verification.
4. Fill all the required details of the employer in the given window.
5. Fill the required details of the employee.
6. Upload the scanned copies of the required documents in the specified file size and format (Check required documents section for further details).
7. Check the details filled for any correction before you submit the form. Submitted forms cannot be altered.
8. Pay the processing fee if required.
9. After submission, you will receive your Service Request No. through SMS or E-Mail.
10. Your application will now be processed and the police will make verifications to create a Report.
11. The report will be sent to your registered mail Id or you will have to visit the police station if required.

• Residence Certificate Issued By SDM/Teshildar

Eligibility

Validity

• There is no validity period for this Verification Report.
• It solely depends on the person/authority accepting the Verification Report.
• The certificate stands null and void in case the employee indulges in any criminal activities.

Need for the Document

• While hiring a person, it is highly advisable to verify the antecedent of the person with police before employing them.
• This verification also helps you know if any criminal records were registered against the person hired and if he/she has a shady character.

• When one applies for such verification, the police verifies the submitted information and the employee’s details are stored with the police.
• This protects the employee from involving in any criminal activities in the near future.
