The Maharashtra provide Online facility to user for applying for Widow Certificate by the Rural Development & Panchayat Raj Department. The Online portal is available in two languages, English and Marathi.You can choose your Preferable Method. The widow certificate is needed as a proof to widow women that her husband is not alive.

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for Widow Certificate, you have to approach the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department offices and sub-offices.

  3. You can approach the revenue department authorities for form or write it on the A4 sheet.
  4. Make sure that you are eligible to apply for Widow Certificate by checking the Eligibility criteria provided under “Eligibility” Section of this page.
  5. Attach all the Required Documents as mentioned in the Required Documents section along with the form.
  6. Fill the form with all the necessary details and Submit the form to the concerned officer In-charge in the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department offices and sub-offices. Pay the appropriate as quoted by the authorities.
  7. The will provide an acknowledgement receipt. keep it safely for your Future Reference.
  8. You will get the Notification as soon as the Certificate get’s ready.
  9. Now you can go to the office and collect the Widow Certificate.



Apply Online through aaplesarkar :

  1. You can apply for the Widow Certificate through online by using the following website link: Website Link
  2. After visiting the website, login using your login ID, Password and Captcha code and click on the “login” Button.
  3. If you are a new user click on the “New User? Register Here” tab and next you can select any of the two options to register.
  4. If you select verify using mobile option enter all the required informations and enter the OTP and register into it.
  5. If you select Option 2 enter all the required documents and upload all the required documents and click on the “I accept” tab and Click “register” button.
  6. Now login using your credentials. Next Search for “Revenue department” and click on it. Then click on “Widow Certificate” to reach respective page.
  7. In the given page please fill all necessary information for online application then upload required document as appropriate and follow the rest of the screen prompt as applicable to apply online.
  8. Pay the money by your preferable method.
  9. Next the User will get an acknowledgement. Keep it safe for future reference.
  10. This application will be processed further.
  11. The applicant will get the notification about the certificate.
  12. You can download the Widow certificate online.

  • An applicant can apply for the Widow Certificate provided she is having a unique CAN number.
  • If the applicant doesn't have a unique CAN Number, she must register for CAN to access the application form for Widow Certificate.
  • User must have valid username and password.
  • Make relevant and correct entries only.
  • Recheck the entries before clicking on Submit button.
  • Mandatory fields cannot be left blank.
  • Mandatory/Optional documents should be attached as per requirement.
  • Do not make false entries.
