The Department of Fisheries, the Government of Maharashtra provides online facility to user to apply for Fishing Vessel Registration. User can read the instructions and fill the form. Online service is provided by the government to save time of the user. The portal is available in two languages, English and Marathi; user can select any of the preferred language. However, the application form can be printed and applied in person along with the necessary documents (if any) to Assistant Commissioner of fisheries.

Apply Online through aaplesarkar :
  1. To apply online, the applicant shall follow the given aaple sarkar link: Link and click on the "New User? Register Here" tab.
  2. From the given options, select any one mode to create User ID and Password.
  3. Now verify UID or Create your own user profile using OTP verification on your mobile.
  4. A new page will open up where the applicant has to fill up all the personal detail(Name, D.O.B, Age, Gender, etc) in the portal.
  5. Now enter the address as per the document.
  6. After that provide mobile number and OTP, PAN No., UID No., and confirm password.
  7. Now upload a photograph between 5kB to 20kB in JPEG format.
  8. Now choose from the drop now menu any one of the Proof of Identity.
  9. Finally provide a Proof of Address by clicking from the menu on screen.
  10. Click on the declaration box and then click the "Register" tab.
  11. Now login with the user credentials.
  12. After login, click Link and then click on “Apply”.
  13. The applicant will get an application displayed.
  14. Fill up the application form correctly and pay the requisite fee.
  15. On completion, the applicant will be notified.
  16. You can check the status of the application in the portal by signing in with User ID and password.



Apply through Mobile APP:

  1. To apply via app, the applicant shall download the app from the given link: Link
  2. Select the preferred language
  3. A list of options will be provided from which the applicant must choose the concerned department
  4. Now a list of services will be displayed from which the applicant must select the required service
  5. The applicant must also provide the nature of service verification and click on “Apply” to proceed to verification
  6. Once verified, the applicant will be informed about the further process.



Apply Through Centres:

  1. To apply for Fishing Vessel Registration through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre/sewa kendra. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
  2. Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  3. An application form can be obtained through the kiosk operator upon visiting the centre.
  4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
  5. Submit the application form with “Required Documents” to the office. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
  6. The operator will process the application online.
  7. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
  8. Pay the fee as given in the “Fees” section of this page and collect the receipt.
  9. An ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
  10. Upon the satisfaction of the authorities, the permission will be granted according to the application.

Apply in-Person:

  1. Applications can also be made in-person through the Department of Fisheries, offices and sub-offices.

  4. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. After the authorities validate your application and the documents that are submitted they will initiate the process for fishing vessel registration.

  • Name & full address
One of the copy of: Ration Card/Adhar Card /PAN Card/ Recent Electricity Bill/ Driving License/ Passport and 3 passport size photos.

  • Business
Income tax certificate/ Affidavit
Audited Financial Statement
No objection certificate from Local Police station.

  • Name of the Sarang & Certificate of his competency
True copy of the original certificate should be attached with the application and original certificate should be presented at the time of verification.

  • Name of the Port where registration is to be done
Relevant original certificate should be submitted.

  • Documents showing ownership of Vessels
Sale Deed / Certificate of construction

  • Make of Engine and its number
Purchase Receipt, Purchase receipt having number of engine.

  • Regarding combined ownership of Vessels
Partnership deed / Names of Partners.

Photocopy of documents should be attached while applying in person and scanned documents should be uploaded while applying online. Keep all the documents in scanned form like JPEG, GIF and PDF, so that it can be uploaded while making online application on the website. If submitting in person, xerox copies needs to be attached.

  • On initial registration, the scale of fee
  1. Vessel up to 40 GRT Rs.1200 /-
  2. Form 41 to 80 GRT Rs. 1800/-
  3. Form 81 to 120 GRT Rs. 2400/-
  4. Form 121 to 160 GRT Rs. 3000 /-
  5. From 161 to 200 GRT Rs. 3600 /-
  6. From 201 to 250 GRT Rs. 4200 /-
  7. From 251 to GRT and above Rs. 20 /- per GRT and part thereof However maximum Rs. 25000 /-
  • Registration of vessel directed by the Registering authority. Half of the (a) above
  • Registration of Alterations to vessel
  1. Increase in the GRT Rs. 75/- per increased GRT
  2. Change in Engine Rs. 2000 /- per engine
  • Issue of duplicate certificate Rs. 1000 /-
  • Change of ownership of vessel / Transfer of ownership Rs. 5000 /-
  • Appeal Against the decision of registering authority Rs. 2000 /-

It is essential to pay port tax as per following tonnage in the office of Port Inspector / Asst. Port Inspector.

  1. Port tax will not be charged for any year commencing from 1 June to 31st August for fishing water shuttles. And for remaining period 50% of specified port tax will be charged.
    1. Non engine water shuttles:
      • Less than 05 N R T Rs.0.50/- per N R T
      • Rs. 1.00 for 05 to 10 N R T
      • Rs. 2.00 for 10 N R T & more than that
    2. Machined water shuttles Other than water shuttles which goes in foreign countries.
      • Less than 05 N R T Rs.1.00/- per N R T
      • Rs. 2.00 for 05 to 10 N R T
      • Rs. 3.00 for 10 N R T & more than that
    3. Rs. 3.00 per G. R. T. for water shuttles going to foreign countries.
