Procedure

To obtain Agri clinic license, the applicant must have attended and complete the training provided by National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management.

Step 1: To apply for Agri clinic training.

1. To apply for Agri clinic training the applicant has to complete online application form. Link
2. The applicant has to enter all the necessary details in the application form.
3. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Review the application form and click “submit”.
5. The authority will review the application. Once the applicant meets up with the eligibility, he/she will receive Email or SMS regarding the training program.
6. Once training is completed, exams will be conducted. After successful completion of exam, the authority will issue the training certificate to the applicant.
7. Also, the concerned officers will advices the process to be done before obtain Agri clinic license.

Step 2: Obtain Agriculture (Agri) clinic license

1. To obtain agriculture (Agri) clinic license in Maharashtra, the applicant has to approach State Department of Agriculture link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant from the concerned officer.
3. The applicant has to enter all the necessary details in the application form.
4. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
6. Submit the application form to the concerned officer.
7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
8. The authority will review the application and contact the applicant regarding the inspection of their Agri Clinic centre.
9. Once all the verification was done, the authority will issue the Agri Clinic license to the application.
10. The processing time of this procedure takes up to 1 – 3 months.

Eligibility

• Candidates of age group of 18 to 60.

Education:

• Graduation and above level in Agriculture and allied subjects, biological sciences such as Environmental science, Botany, Zoology and chemistry as recognized by UGC, ICAR/SAUs and other organizations approved by MoA&FW, GoI.
• Diploma courses with more than 60 % content related to Agriculture and allied subjects.
• Intermediate course in Agriculture and allied subjects with at least 55% marks.

Fees

• The fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.

Instructions

• National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE) will be responsible for providing training to eligible candidates, through Nodal Training Institutes (NTIs) and motivating them for setting up of Agri-Clinics and Agribusiness Centres.
• Two months training course will be provided free of cost in various State Agricultural Universities and Departments and institutes. Initiated by Small Farmers Agri-business Consortium (SFAC) and coordinated by National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad, the course comprises entrepreneurship development, business management as well as skill improvement modules in the chosen areas of activity.

Need for the Document

• Agri-Clinics are envisaged to provide expert advice and services to farmers on various technologies including soil health, cropping practices, plant protection, crop insurance, post-harvest technology, and clinical services for animals, feed and fodder management, prices of various crops in the market etc. which would enhance the productivity of crops/animals and ensure increased income to farmers.
• An individual who wants to open an Agri clinic anywhere in the state, must apply for a license to provide the service legally.

• Agri-Business Centres are commercial units of Agri ventures established by trained agriculture professionals. Such ventures may include maintenance and custom hiring of farm equipment, sale of inputs and other services in agriculture and allied areas, including post-harvest management and market linkages for income generation and entrepreneurship development.
