Madhya Pradesh - Obtain Duplicate Fitness Certificate (FC) for Vehicle

To apply for Duplicate Fitness certificate in Madhya Pradesh the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which his area belongs to.

Also make sure you have all the necessary documents to process the application
The applicant should make sure they are eligible for applying for this procedure
Completed respective application: (can be obtained from RTO)
The applicant should bring in their vehicle for inspection.
Present the completed application and documents in the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.

Apply through State Portal

In order to apply online, please follow the link online state portal link
Select “Online Fitness / NOC” option in the drop down menu under “Online services”.
In the next page, Create new user ID and login using the credentials.
Please select the “Apply For Fitness/Noc” option to get the next window
Enter the registration number of the vehicle and hit “Get Data”
Please click “Ok” for the popup message for correct registration number to get fresh page with details of vehicle.
Please select “Fitness Duplicate” under Fitness certificate option to get the details to enter
Applicant has to enter / select appropriate option and proceed as applicable for processing
In the next page please make necessary payment.
Payment received massage will flash.
Use the print receipt tab on top menu bar to get printout of the receipt.
Take the printout and go to RTO office to complete the procedure.
At the RTO office, submit the print out along with documents in one of the counter and officials would start processing your application.
From this point the process of apply in person will be carried out to issue duplicate FC

In case of Private vehicles the fitness certificates is valid for 15 years and there after renewed at every 5 years
In case of Transport Vehicles the fitness certificate is issued for a new vehicle for 2 years and subsequently renewed every year

Fitness Certificate is an official document certifying that the holder’s vehicle is fit to drive at public places. As this certificate is a very important document in renewal of permits. One has to get the duplicate of the FC as and when he found that he has lost / misplaced / toned
The registration of vehicle is treated as valid only if the vehicle has valid certificate of fitness. Fitness certificate for a vehicle in Chhattisgarh is required to renew the current status of the vehicle
The fitness is checked and certified by the Registering Authority
Fitness certificate is issued to check the pollution caused by the emission of smoke from the vehicles, to maintain the vehicle in proper condition and to avoid accidents

An applicant should apply for renewal of his vehicle Fitness Certificate within 30 days from the date of expiry of its validity
RTO officials has the right to decide upon the issue of certificate
