Apply In-Person

  1. Applicants for Endorsement of Learner's License should appear personally before the Licensing Authority with the following documents.
  2. Please follow our “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page to get details of the RTO offices. Link for RTO contacts: Link
  3. Application form can be downloaded using the following link: Form Link
  4. Application Form No8 is required. Application form can be obtained from the following link: link
  5. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
  6. Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that should be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
  7. Present the completed application forms in one of the counters and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
  8. If required you will have to take a theory test, to make sure you understand the rules and regulation related to driving a type of vehicle.
  9. Driving test may be required to test your calibre. Upon successful completion of the test applicant can get their LLR for endorsement.



Apply through state portal - Madhya Pradesh Apply for Endorsement Learner Driver License online with Images

  1. In order to apply online, please follow the link online state portal link
  2. Select “License application and appointment system” option in the drop down menu under “Online services”.
  3. In the next window, please select the Endorsement to DL under L L- Learner License section to get the next page
  4. Here enter the prompted details and hit “apply” to go to the next screen
  5. Please Enter / select prompted details and complete the page by selecting appropriate option.
  6. Also one can pay the fees through the page
  7. Upon completion, an application slip will be generated. Take the printout and go to RTO office on appointment day to complete the procedure.
  8. At the RTO office, Present the print out of application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
  9. From this point the process of apply in person will be carried out to grant the license

Apply for Re-Test

  1. In order to apply online, please follow the link online state portal link
  2. Select “License application and appointment system” option in the drop down menu under “Online services”.
  3. In the next window, please select the LL-ReTest under “Re-test Appointment”
  4. In the next page, enter the reference id obtained at the time of applying and hit “Apply” to process online and get the Retest scheduled.

Apply for Print Form/Receipt

  1. In order to apply online, please follow the link online state portal link
  2. Select “License application and appointment system” option in the drop down menu under “Online services”.
  3. In the next window, please select the Print Form/Receipt under “Click here to resolve print and payment issue”
  4. In the next page, enter / select the required details and “Search Data” to process online and get the printout.

Required DocumentsEdit


  1. Application Form No8 is required. Application form can be obtained from the following link : Application forms 8
  2. Valid permanent driving license
  3. The applicant needs to pay prescribed fees
  4. Proof of age, appropriate for relevant class of vehicle.
    • Ration card, Voter identity card, Life insurance policy, Passport, School certificate, Birth certificate
    • Age certification by a registered medical practitioner not below the rank of a Civil Surgeon
  5. Proof of residence
    • Ration Card, Voter identity card, Pay slip issued by any office of the central government or a state government; Electricity bill, Telephone bill, House tax receipt showing the name of the name of the applicant
    • You can also use you Aadhar Card as proof of residence.
  6. Three recent passport size photographs of the applicant.
  7. Applicants for Transport Vehicle License must produce a Permanent Driving License for Light Motor Vehicle held by him, at least for one year.

  9. If the applicant is not able to produce address or age proof documents for a sufficient reason the licensing authority may accept any affidavit sworn by the applicant before an Executive Magistrate, or a First Class Judicial Magistrate or a Notary Public as evidence

Need for the DocumentEdit


  • In India, two kinds of Driving Licenses are issued: Learners License and Permanent License. A Learners License is essential for obtaining a Permanent License
  • This service can be used by a consumer if he/ she possess a driving license for a particular class of vehicles and want to extend the same to another class of vehicles. This service helps the consumer get a learner's license for the new class of vehicles.
  • Learners license (LLR) is a permit given by local transport department for learning driving before obtaining a permanent license. The learner’s license has a validity period of 6 months and the holder of the permit should obtain a permanent driving license before the expiry of this period, If not obtained then one need to renew LLR.
  • A Driving License is an official document certifying that the holder is suitably qualified to drive a motor vehicle. Under the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 in India
  • No person can drive a motor vehicle in any public place unless he holds a valid Driving License issued to him.

Note: Wear a formal shirt for the interview. If you wear t-shirt, the examiner will deny to take a photograph.
  • in terms of age for the type of vehicle they are applying (16 years for driving a Motor Cycle without Gear - Not exceeding 50 cc / 18 years of age for driving a Motor Cycle with Gear and Light Motor Vehicle./ 20 years of age for driving a Transport Vehicle)
