Procedure

Residents of Madhya Pradesh could get a new Drainage or Sewer connection through the following procedure.

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for a drainage or sewer connection, one has to visit the concerned Zonal Municipal Council office of your area.
2. To view the Municipality office locations, select your district and from the district portal, select Directory > Public Utility > Municipalities Districts
3. Before applying, please consult with the concerned authority regarding all the requirements necessary for getting a new drainage connection.
4. Procure the application form for sewerage connection by paying the required fee.
5. In the procured application form, fill all the required details.
6. Attach the photocopy of all the required documents with the application form.
7. Submit the documents at the respective Zonal Municipal Council office and receive the acknowledgement receipt.
8. The documents will be verified and if the application is eligible, the applicant will be notified to pay the charges. Rejected applications will be returned to the applicant with intimation.
9. Pay the service charges as instructed and register your connection and receive the acknowledgement receipt.
10. Obtain permission for road cutting from the respective department if required.
11. Your application will now be forwarded to the concerned area officer for sanction.
12. Site inspections will be made by the authority officers and any correction regarding the application will be notified to the applicant.
13. After all the requirements and changes have been met by the applicant, the work order will be issued for the connection.

Apply for Drainage (Sewer) Connection Online with Images

1. To apply online for a drainage or sewer connection, visit the e-Nagarpalika portal or click here on the direct Apply Online
2. In the given link select your “ULB” and enter the e-Nagarpalika property tax Id, Old property tax Id, Mobile number and click search.
3. Fill all the required details in the displayed application form.
4. Upload the scanned copies of all the required documents.
5. Check for any corrections to be made before submitting the form. Submitted forms cannot be altered.
6. After successful submission of your application, the system will generate your application reference number. Please keep it safe for further reference.
7. Your application will be further processed to the area officer and necessary site inspections will be made with intimation.
8. After receiving intimation of charges to be paid, visit the link and enter the details and click on search Application Status
9. Pay the required processing fee for which you will receive the online receipt.
10. Your application will be further sanctioned,and the connection will be provided.

Required Documents

Generally required documents for Drainage connection:

• Ownership Certificate / Land property document
• Plan of the building, sanctioned by local authority
• Property Tax Assessment Number.
• Road Cutting Endorsement / receipt (If required)
• Proof of having paid taxes / charges up to date
• Affidavit as required.
• Address proof and Id proof of the applicant from the following:
• Aadhaar card
• Driving Licence
• Ration card
• Voter ID
• PAN Card

Note: Other required documents have to be submitted if necessary. Carry the original and photocopy of the necessary documents for any cross verifications to be made. Keep the original documents ready during site inspection.

• Building and internal plumbing works have to be completed.
• Water Tax should have been paid up to date.
