ProcedureEdit

  1. Gather all documents you will need to submit to exchange your foreign driver's license.
  2. Schedule an appointment with the Authority by calling 0800 192 92 (toll free), this is mandatory to all applicants in Skopje. In other cities, you may contact the Traffic Office's service counters in your area.
  3. Submit a completed driver's license application form along with all other required documents in person.
  4. Pay all necessary fees.

Required DocumentsEdit

To apply for the license:

  • Completed application form
  • A valid identity card for inspection
  • Your foreign driver's license, must be valid
  • Macedonian translation, notarized
  • Proof of residence for at least six months in the country where the foreign driver's license was issued
  • If the text on the foreign driving license does not clearly indicate which vehicles the license holder is allowed to drive: The applicant is required to submit the same documents issued by the authority that issued the foreign driver's license
  • A medical certificate of physical and mental ability of the driver issued by a medical board
  • Payment Slip for the administrative fee


To obtain a license card:

  • Completed application form
  • Photocopy of ID
  • Two photos of the applicant (size 3.5 X 4.5)


Notes:

  • The payment slip section with a label - XXX is filled with the code of your municipality.
  • For applicants who are 65 years old: A medical certificate must be submitted in all proceedings connected to the issuance of a driver's license
