  • The following procedures shows how to obtain both a learners license and a full/new driving license since you cant get a full/new driving license before getting the learners license.
Procedure for obtaining a learners license
  • This is a provisional driving license that allows the holder to learn how to learn to drive a motor vehicle under the supervision of an instructor. This is issued for a renewable period of three months.
Procedure
  • Go to any Bureau of Customs and Excise licensing office and fill the drivers license Form. Get Form 1, available at all licensing offices, fill it and get medical certification from any registered medical practitioner.
  • Obtain Bank payment advices forms, from the assessing officers at Bureau of Customs and Excise , and make payment to the designated bank.
  • After payment, return the application forms to the Tax paper service desk at the licensing office, and have your copy of the bank payment form acknowledged.
  • Go to Ministry of transport motor vehicle license section , after the period as advised by the licensing officer, for your learners license.
  • Upon completion of driving lessons, go and pay test fees from any Bureau of Customs and Excise licensing office, and together with a valid Learners license apply for a driving test from the area Police Inspectorate of Vehicles driving test office.

  • Attach 2 recent signed Passport Type Photos (2" x 2") SIGNED ON BACK
  • Enclose permit fee of $15.00 (NO CASH)
  • If mailing application, a photocopy of BOTH SIDES of National identification Card .
  • A completed application.

EligibilityEdit

To be eligible to apply for a Liberian motor vehicle Driver's license in Liberia one must be Liberian Citizen of at least 18 years of age .



FeesEdit

Fees charged is $15


ValidityEdit

Liberian drivers Permit is valid for three (3) years or for one (1) , depending on the fees paid.

After all necessary documents are submitted and all payments are made, one has to wait for about three (3) weeks for his / her driving permit to be ready.

InstructionsEdit

  • Before applying for the drivers license, one must prove he she is eighteen (18) and above; Get the necessary Forms for any Liberian motor Licensing Office, Read carefully and fill in the required information.
    • Make all the necessary payments
    • Attach all the necessary documents required;
    • Return the application form to the Egyptian motor Licensing Office; and
  • Must appear in person to the National issuing office for the license.
