Procedure

How to Apply

1. Applicant should visit the ONE-STOP BUSINESS FACILITATION CENTRE (OBFC), Residence Permit department office and express their interest.
2. Collect the application form for renewal residence permit and read through it careful as it contain different section, which are to be filled accurately by the applicant and the prospective employer.
3. If any documents (listed below) need to the certified, applicants are required to visit the C.T. POOPA CONSULTING ATTORNEY & NOTARY PUBLIC office with the documents (original and copy) and have them certified at a cost of 5 LSL per page.
4. Submit the completed form along with the required documents (listed below) to the Residence Permit Department office to be verified and processed.
5. Pay the permit processing fee at the Account department office, upon which you will be issued with a receipt.
6. The senior officer at the Residence Permit Department office will register your details on the registry before he/she issue the permit for indefinite sojourn in Lesotho and also stamp the permit for indefinite sojourn on the applicant original passport.
7. You will then be issued with the Residence permit immediately.

• Certified copy of tax clearance
• Application letter and completed application form
• Certified Passport (original and copy)
• police clearance from Lesotho for residence permit renewal
• Medical certificate
• Permit for indefinite sojourn in Lesotho - on passport (original)
• The expired residence permit card
• Receipt for proof of payment

• Certified copy of personal tax clearance
• Certified copy of company’s tax clearance

Fees

• Renew residence Permit fee LSL 3,000 (cash)

Note

• Late residence permit renewal per week or part thereof - M200.00

Validity

• Residence permit is valid for 2 years, then it has to be renewed.
