Procedure

How to Apply

1. Applicant should visit the ONE-STOP BUSINESS FACILITATION CENTRE (OBFC) office and collect the application form for certificate of employment or click the link below to download.(Application form)
2. Read through the application form careful as it contain different section, which are to be filled accurately by the applicant and the prospective employer.
3. You will then be required to visit the C.T. POOPA CONSULTING ATTORNEY & NOTARY PUBLIC office with you passport and diploma (original and copy) and have them certified at a fee of 5 LSL per copy.
4. Return to the OBFC office and submit the completed form along with the supporting documents (listed below) to the attending officer for verification and processing.
5. Pay the application processing fee at the Account department office, upon which you will be issued with a receipt.
6. The registrant will then register the applicant name and the reference number of the payment receipt and issue you the certificate of employment card filled and stamped by OBEF accounts office.
7. Visit the Ministry of Labour and Employment office in two days, with the following documents, Certificate of employment card and passport with a valid visa (original).
8. Pay the required fee at the Accounts of Labour counter, upon which you will be issued with a receipt.
9. Submit the payment receipt, Certificate of employment card and passport to the attending officer at the Work Permit Printing Office, your digital photo will then be taken and then you will be issued with a certificate of employment (ID) within 10 minutes.

Eligibility

• Foreigners employed by manufacturing companies

Fees

• Application processing fee LSL 500
• Cost of certification of documents LSL 5 (per page)
• Processing fee of LSL 350 for certificate employment ID card

Certificate fee

• Fee 3000 LSL for certificate valid for 2 years
• Fee 2500 LSL for certificate valid for 6 months to 23 months
• Fee 1500 LSL for certificate valid less than 6 months

Validity

• The validity period is between 6 months and 2 years
