Procedure

1. You will have to present the application letter requesting for the approval of Importing and Exporting of Firearm in Lesotho to the Commissioner of police or in the District Commissioner officers in your area. Application form to be used : Sample Application Form
2. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down under section Required Document.
3. After validating your application your permit will be issued. There are some contact information that has been provided under setion Office Locations & Contacts which can be used.

For people living in or around Maseru, applications are submitted to the Commissioner of Police and for those in the districts; they are submitted to the District Commissioners. • For bullets, the importer is allowed to import 50 bullets upon purchasing of a firearm. Additional bullets are recommended to be purchased locally.
