Procedure

1. To obtain an Import permit you have to approach the OBFC (One-Stop Business Facilitation Center), address information is provided under the section Office Locations & Contacts section of this page.
2. Also, Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the Required Documents section of this page.
3. Applicant have to collect the affidavit form from the OBFC and get it signed by the police.
4. Take all the required document to the OBFC and the required documents, you will be provided with a computer generated application form with your details already printed in the form.
5. All the required documents and the application form should be submitted to the OBFC officer who will approve the application form, if he is satisfied with the documents.
6. After approval intimation will be sent to the Customs Border office and the applicant will be notified of the creation of Import Permit.
   

Note : The trader collates the application form with the accompanying documents and drops them in the In-Box at the Front Office. The trader may choose to stay to await issuance of the permit or may leave and return when ready.

Required Documents

• Certified copy of Passport (A certified copy of a passport can obtained from any government office or from the Police at no cost.)
• Affidavit (The Affidavit is a declaration made in front of a Police Officer that the information supplied in the application for Permit is true and correct. The Police Officer with stamp and counter-sign the Affidavit. There is no charge)
• Pro-forma Invoice (The Pro-forma invoice must be an original copy provided by the supplier of the goods in the country of origin.)
• Copy of Trader License (The Traders License is issued by the relevant ministry that controls the type of business that the trader is involved in. Normally licenses a valid for a year.)
