Procedure

1. To get a vehicle fitness certificate, you have to take the vehicle to the test center to get it tested where you will have to fill in form T.C. 12 which will be available in the center.

Eligibility

• Only commercial vehicles are liable to this test.

Fees

Commercial passengers vehicles:
If carrying capacity does not exceed 60 passengers : M90.00
If carrying capacity exceeds 60 passengers : M125.00

Goods vehicles:

Tare weight/type Amount

Not greater than 3500kg M100.00
3501 11000kg M125.00
Greater than 11000kg M145.00
Combination of vehicles M145.00

Trailers

Not greater than 5000kg M90.00
Greater than 5000kg M120.00

Validity

Fitness certificate for goods vehicle is renewable after a year from the date of issue. Fitness certificate for passenger vehicle is renewable after 6 months from the date of issue.
