Apply In-Person:

  1. To Obtain FSSAI license for Sweet Manufacturing, You have to approach the Commissioner of Food Safety / Officer-In-Charge for Food Safety.

  3. You can download the application Form-B from the following link: Form B. # Please make sure you are eligible to make the application by going through the eligibility criteria provided under the “Eligibility” section of this page.
  4. First download the Form-B from the link and fill all the required information and you need to submit the form to the Commissioner of Food safety department. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
  5. Please complete the application form and make sure you have all the documents that are listed under “Required Documents” section of this page.
  6. Pay the appropriate fees and submit the form to the Officer-In-Charge in the Food Safety department.
  7. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
  8. Authorities will inspect the facilities that are related to the Sweet Manufacturing and if they are satisfied with the standards followed the authorities will provide the franchise permission.
  9. The applicant will be later requested to collect the FSSAI license for the Sweet Manufacturing on a specified date.



Apply Online:

  1. To Obtain Food Safety License (FSSAI) for Sweet Manufacturing through online, you can use the FOSCOS website. Please click the following link: link
  2. Click the “Login-Businesses” tab and Under User sign-in Box enter your Application Ref. No./License No./Certificate No. and Click on the “Proceed” button to login.
  3. If you are a new user, then Click on the "Do you want to apply for New License/Registration" and click on the "Apply for License/Registration" tab in the new page.
  4. Next select the state from the dropdown list box and read the Note.
  5. Next select the type of Business, Now Select the annual turnover of your business. After that Click on the “Proceed” tab.
  6. On the next page, click on the “Click here to apply State License for all Businesses”.
  7. Next Form-B page will be displayed, fill all the required information’s under premises details section and Click on the “Save & Next” tab.
  8. On the Production selection page, fill all the details for DGFT Authentication and Click on the “Proceed with DGFT validation” to authenticate the details.
  9. Next Click on the “Save” to save the authenticated details. After Successfully Proceeding with DGFT validation, click on the “Save & Next”.
  10. Next fill all the Communication details and Click on the “Save &Next”.
  11. Under required documents section upload all the relevant documents and Click on the “Save & Next”.
  12. Next pay the fees and submit the application.
  13. After Successful Completing the payment, a receipt will be generated with a 17-digit reference number make a print of it and keep it safe for future reference.
  14. You can track the application through the home page.
  15. This application will be processed by them and they will notify you through your e-mail or by SMS.



Apply through mobile app:

  1. The applicant willing to Obtain Food Safety License (FSSAI) for Sweet Manufacturing must download the mobile app Food Safety Connect App.
  2. The applicant can download the app from play store using the following Link: link
  3. Once downloaded, the applicant must click the button “Apply for license” in the main page.
  4. Then the applicant has to select their respective state from the dropdown menu where premises is located for which License/Registration will be obtained.
  5. Next select the type of Business, Now Select the annual turnover of the business. After that Click on the “Proceed” tab.
  6. On the next page, click on the “Click here to apply Central License for all Businesses”.
  7. Next Form-B page will be displayed, fill all the required information under premises details section and Click on the “Save & Next” tab.
  8. On the Production selection page, fill all the details for DGFT Authentication and Click on the “Proceed with DGFT validation” to authenticate the details.
  9. Next Click on the “Save” to save the authenticated details. After Successfully Proceeding with DGFT validation, click on the “Save & Next”.

  4. List of Directors/ Partners/ Proprietor with address, contact details, and photo ID

  6. List of food category to be manufactured
  7. Authority letter from manufacturer nominated a responsible person name and address Proof of possession of premises
  8. NOC and copy of License from the manufacturer
  9. Copy of certificate obtained under Coop Act 1861/Multi state Coop Act 2002
  10. Food safety management system plan or certificate
  11. Layout plan
  12. List of equipment
  13. NOC from municipality
  14. Incorporation certificate

  18. One photo of the Food business Operator

  20. Identity Proof Documents such as Ration Card, Department Issued ID, PAN Card, Passport, Senior Citizen Card, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Voter ID Card

  22. Water testing report from ISI approved facility
  23. Medical Certificates of Employees
  24. MOA( Memorandum of Association) of companies / Partnership deed if applicable
  25. Sanction layout plan
  26. Land (if not in Industrial area should be NA)
  27. List of machines with names which are used in manufacturing
  28. Additional documents(If any)

  • Renewal of the license should be done before expiry. If you caught manufacturing sweets without license you need to pay a huge amount as penalty.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • To manufacture sweets you need to obtain FSSAI license.
  • To sell the manufactured sweets to the bakery and other shops, license is required
  • We need to get FSSAI license to show that the sweets manufactured were Hygienic.
