Apply Online

1. To Apply for a Custom House Agent License, the applicant has to use the following link to make an online application link
2. If the applicant is a new user, the applicant has to click the “New User? Register” button.
3. Enter all the registration details and click the “Submit” button.
4. Now the applicant has to log in with the username and password and click the “Login” button.
5. The applicant has to select the form from the menu list.
6. Enter all the details in the application form.
7. And upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
8. Pay the prescribed amount fee in online mode.
9. Once completed with all the details click the “Submit” button.
10. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
11. All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the particular circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
12. The authority may seek additional information from an applicant if this is necessary to assess the application. The authority does not need to deal further with an application until the applicant has provided this additional information.
13. Customs authorities may conduct a background check and verify the information provided in your application.
14. They may also conduct a physical inspection of your office premises.
15. The applicant may be required to pass a written examination conducted by the Customs Department to test your knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
16. After passing the written exam, you may have to appear for an interview with customs officials.
17. The exam details will be sent through mail or contact the respective officer.
18. If the application is approved, the applicant will receive a CHA license from the customs authorities.
19. This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Eligibility
