Kerala - Request for Re-Connection of Electricity after payment of Outstanding Bill (Amount)

Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for re-connection of electricity supply, the applicant needs to reach out to the concerned zonal Electricity Department or Fuse Call off centres.
2. Procure the application form for re-connection of electricity from the electricity department office.
3. Refer to the “Office Locations & Contacts” for more information.
4. The applicant needs to enter the details at Fuse off Call Center enclosing reconnection order / permanent receipt.
5. Refer to the ‘Required Information’ and ‘Required documents’ section for more information.
6. In case the applicant requests for reconnection within a period of six months after disconnection and paying the outstanding bill, the Junior Engineer shall reconnect the consumer’s installation within the day of payment of past dues and reconnection charges.
7. The applicant needs to show a copy of last bill so that the reconnection will be provided within a day after verification of past dues.
   

Apply through Centres:

1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
2. Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
4. The operator will process the application online.
5. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement.
6. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any, will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
7. If verified, the connection will be restored in a stipulated period of time.

Eligibility

The applicant’s past electricity charges should be clear with paid outstanding bills.

Fees

In the case where the customer is requesting for the same meter to be reconnected, he/she is required to pay the reconnection fee of INR 7,500/-.

Validity

The supply is valid up to the specified time period.
