Procedure

Apply Online

1. Any person desirous of a certified copy of the sale deed and wishes to apply online are requested to click this link and fill in the details Link
2. The link will take the applicant to the Government of Kerala’s Registration Department’s website.
3. Once you enter the website, on the menu bar, you will find an option called “Certificates.” Take your cursor near to the option, and a drop-down box with some options will appear.
4. Click on the “Certified Copy” option, which will lead you to another two options.
5. In those two options, click on the ”Submit Application for CC” option, and you will be directed towards an application form.
6. Fill in every detail from your Name, Contact number, document number, district, Sub Registrar’s office , email, address, ID proof (Pan/Aadhar/Voter id/ Passport/etc.), Claimant details, executant details, the purpose of the certificate, and finally mode of payment.
7. Once you fill in every detail, the fee amount based on your form will be visible in the bottom table of the form.
8. Once you agree to the terms and enter the captcha, click the “submit application” button.
9. If you choose to pay online, you will be directed to pay through the website. Once your payment is made, an acknowledgment will be generated.
10. Acknowledgment of your application will be available on the page. Take a print of the acknowledgment by clicking on the “print” button available on the page.
11. The certified copy will be generated as soon as the payment is made, and the applicant can download the copy in the “CC status/ Print Acknowledgement” button from the home page.

Note: Payment can be made through money order or at the Sub-registrar office once the application form is submitted in case the applicant prefers offline payment methods.

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for a sale deed, the applicant has to approach the Estate Officer, Municipal Corporation Office within their jurisdiction where the property is situated. Please tap on the following link to find contact details: link.
2. Get the relevant application form from the authorities and fill the form with valid details appropriately.
3. Make sure that you have all the proper documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section below.
4. Submit the form along with the required documents to the authorities.
5. Now collect the acknowledgement slip from the authorities.
6. Pay the application and processing fee as requested by the authority.
7. After the verification process, the applicant will receive a certified copy of the sale deed by visiting office within a stipulated period of time.
