Apply In-Person:
- To Apply for Anganwadi (Child Care) Training Centers (AWTC), the applicant has to approach their state Integrated Child Development Services link
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
- Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
- If required, the department will conduct the physical inspection of the premises/area to make sure, that the said premises/area doesn’t fall under the restricted zone for issuance of a license.
- Based on the outcome of the above report, recommendation, and other internal processing, the designated authority will grant the license with his/her seal and signature.
- The license will be hand delivered, sent through post to the address mentioned while applying, or issued as per applicable norms.
- This entire process can be completed in 30- 60 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Need for the DocumentEdit
- The Anganwadi center provides basic health care. It is a part of the Indian public healthcare system. Basic health-care activities include contraceptive counseling and supply, nutrition education and supplementation, as well as pre-school activities.
- Any person or organisation who wants to start an Anganwadi (Child Care) Training Center (AWTC) has to apply for the same to provide the service legally.

Required Physical Facilities for the Proposed Anganwadi Training Centre
The AWTCs should have the physical infrastructure to effectively organize the training of AWWs and this would include a hostel to accommodate 50 persons, a dining hall, kitchen, bathroom, toilets, recreation room, library, classrooms, office rooms, etc.
Hostel
- Ideally, the hostel should have 12 rooms of 12’x12’ with cross ventilation. Trainees should be provided with beds made of iron. Niwar, jute, etc. Each room should have two tables and two chairs. Some storage space to keep personal belongings if rooms are not available there should be 3-4 big-size dormitories.
- A minimum of five toilets and five bathrooms near the rooms.
Kitchen
- The kitchen should be big enough (a room measuring 10’x10’) or more with facilities for cooking keeping cooked food and drinking water. It should be provided with a shelf for keeping vessels. The dining hall should be adjacent to the kitchen.
- Food for trainees should be prepared in a common kitchen. Trainees may either manage the entire kitchen by themselves or the training center may arrange to run the mess for them.
Class Room
- The training center should have a spacious and well-ventilated classroom to accommodate 50 trainees. I should have a big-size blackboard and facilities for projection of films/slides, display of program schedule, growth charts, posters, etc. relevant to the training of AWW. The trainees should be provided with tables and chairs or desks.
Staff and Office Rooms
- The training centers should have two room-one for the Principal/Chief instructor and the other for instructors and office staff with suitable arrangements for the portion meant for the academic and office staff.
