Through Enrolment Centres :

  1. Applicant has to locate an enrolment centre to apply. Online link for enrolment centre : Centre link
  2. Book an Appointment for processing. Link for appointment: Link for Appointment
  3. With / without online appointment, go to the centre as located with required documents.
  4. Submit the required documents to the authority in the centre.
  5. Authority will process the details online and match the details to check the Aadhaar card for the applied one.
  6. Please follow their guidelines for processing your request.
  7. Applicant will be asked to get biometric scan for finger and eye iris scan will also be completed.
  8. Upon completion, Applicant will be issued an acknowledgement receipt for reference and the request will be processed for duplicate Aadhaar card.



Apply Online:
If you have lost your AADHAAR card Enrollment ID and don't know your AADHAAR number, you can download AADHAAR card by following these steps below :

  1. Go to online link
  2. Select appropriate option, "Aadhaar No (UID)" OR "Enrolment ID (EID)", under "I want to retrieve my lost or forgotten:"
  3. Please enter prompted details (your Full Name, your Email address or Mobile number, Captcha) and click on "Send OTP" button
  4. Please enter the received OTP at appropriate place prompted and Click on "Verify OTP"
  5. Now you will receive a message on your mobile with your AADHAAR card number or Enrollment Id as you selected in Step 2 above
  6. Now go to - download Aadhaar
  7. Select appropriate option, "Enrollment Id" OR "Aadhaar Number" OR “Virtual ID (VID) under "I have:"
  8. Enter your Aadhaar Number or Enrollment ID or virtual ID as appropriate. Then please complete the remaining prompt as appropriate and click “Send OTP” button.
  9. One Time Password (OTP) will be delivered to your mobile.
  10. Enter the OTP just received on your mobile in the "Enter OTP" box and click on "Validate and Download" as applicable.
  11. Now you have downloaded your e-AADHAAR card. Enter your Pin Code as the password when you open the PDF document
  12. You now have your e-AADHAAR card, which you can print out



Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for (Lost, Damaged, Misplaced) Duplicate Aadhaar Card the applicant has to approach nearby Aadhar enrolment centre link
    • Note: The applicant has to select their, state, district, city to locate nearby centre.
  2. Submit the required documents to the authority in the centre.
  3. Authority will process the details online and match the details to check the Aadhaar card for the applied one.
  4. Applicant will be asked to get biometric scan for finger and eye iris scan will also be completed.
  5. Upon completion, Applicant will be issued an acknowledgement receipt for reference and the request will be processed for duplicate Aadhaar card.



Apply Through CSC centre:

  1. To Apply for (Lost, Damaged, Misplaced) Duplicate Aadhaar Card, the applicant has to approach nearby Common Service Center (CSC) Link
    • Note: The applicant has to select their state, district and block from the drop-down menu or the applicant can click on their respective district to find nearby center.
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. Or the applicant has to provide their details to the concerned officer.
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form.
  4. The applicant has to attach or provide the required documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page (If required).
  5. Submit the completed application, document and applicable fees to the centre staff.
  6. Application submitted will be processed and receipt with application number will be issued.
  7. The applicant is informed through SMS at various stages i.e., Advance intimation about date of visit of the official to his place of residence for verification of his application, Approval/Rejection of his application.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • Aadhaar card is an initiative by the government to organize citizen.
  • Unique Identification Authority of India, issues this card. It is a 12 digit identity contains combination of numbers and alphabets.
  • Aadhaar card is mandatory in opening bank account.
  • Aadhaar card is useful in most of the application for obtaining voter id, ration card, pan card, Land registration, Driving license, Vehicle registration and more.
  • If in case your Aadhaar card is lost / damaged / misplaced, one has to apply for duplicate Aadhaar card
