  1. The application for a shall be an International veterinary certificate for embryos made to the Directorate of Veterinary Services (DVS) Office. DVS Office Location & Contact Details
  2. First, the applicant is required to obtain an export approval from the DVS, Animal Breeding and Reproductive Services Department, this is done by sending a copy of the import permit from the country of origin to DVS, through this email address [email protected].
  3. Upon submission of the import permit, the DVS will verify the document and it shall respond to the applicant within 02-05 days. If approved the export approval is sent to the applicant's registered email address.
  4. Once the applicant has been issued the export approval, he/she should then proceed with the application for the International veterinary certificate for embryos; this is done by browsing the Trade Facilitation Platform (TFP).
  5. Applicants who are already registered as a user should log in to the portal using their credentials and proceed with the application process, after successful completion of this process, the applicant will receive a KESWS Submission Notification, submitted International veterinary certificate for embryos and a valid e- slip will be generated by the system.
  6. Applicants that do not have an account with the TFP, will be required to register with the platform through this Ken trade-User Registration Page
  7. Payment for the certificate should be made against the e-slip and payment can be made through mobile banking or the bank. For more information please refer to the “Fees” section of this page for more information.
  8. Upon making payment, the applicant is required to share the proof of payment (Bank payment/deposit details) with the Trade Facilitation Platform (TFP)], applicant will then receive a payment confirmation notification.
  9. This is followed by the issue of a certified International veterinary certificate for embryos by the Directorate of Veterinary Services (DVS) office, login the Trade Facilitation Platform (TFP) to access and print the certificate.
  10. The timeframe accumulatively for processing this application is usually within 03-06 working days.
